I have yet to do the whole dining experience at Amuse. However, I was very impressed with their Happy Hour. For a fairly fancy place in this neighborhood, the happy hour is really good. Good draft beer prices, but best of all is the $1 oysters. I am aware of a few other places that do the oyster thing, but I am usually somewhat skeptical. That is why this is so great, because the oysters were super fresh.

Went for the fixed priced dinner. Got the cod and potato cakes which were very tasty. For main course got a pasta, which was good as well. I wish I had saved more room for dessert because it was delicious. I think their food falls under the creative American category, so the presentation is good and the flavors are tasty. The atmosphere is nice... a little bit dark with candles. It's a good place to go with a couple of friends.
