is a very good thing. I have eaten here, my friend eat here, I take out of towners to eat here. So yes, I love it here. You really can't go wrong hre, considereing that you get food to brag about for not a lot of scratch. If you're a family and feel like none of the restaurants appreciate you, well, you will probably get a better welcome than anyone here (althought they are very kind to all). I could eat the cornbread ALL day long.

If the pressure is on, you can't do much better than here especially if your cooking skills aren't that great. However, you can pretend that you cooked this and bask in the glow of the compliments, because no one will be able to deny the goodness of this food. If you have a party or dinner, order from here then lay out a platter of their ribs, chili, cole slaw and chicken. Nothing to worry about then. Go enjoy the company.

I have actually been going to this restaurant since I was about 12 years old. This is just one of the sites in New York City. There are about 8 sites throughout the city now. But anyways, this is the place to go when the money is low, atmosphere is not too important and you have friends who are in the same position. The food is standard barbecue fare -- chicken, ribs, and hamburgers, though at my last visit, I believe they have expanded the menu to include shrimp and combo type meals (ie. shrimp and ribs, chicken and ribs). It's not unusually tasty but it sticks to the ribs pretty well and you usually feel contented that you got a good meal at a good price. And the reason I'm speaking about price is that virtually all the meals on the menu are under $10.00. Yes, that's right, under $10.00. The drinks are where you really like this place. Though the drinks are average in price, they really make them right. No one that I have ever dined with here has EVER sent their drink back, saying there was a lack of alcohol or flavor in their drink. I ALWAYS try to get a drink even if it's a virgin (designated driver those times). But my bottom line about this restaurant is this is the goto place for budget meals and great drinks especially for the money crunched patron.

A BBQ place in NY? Sounds a little bit strange, but the margaritas are cheap and big, ribs are decent, fried seafood platter is good, and the wings are huge. I didn’t try the turkey burger, but it seemed to be a hit with my friends. If you want to clog your arteries even more, try the loaf of onion rings as an appetizer. We ate and ate, but the pile seemed just as high as when it was brought to our table.
