Madame Tussaud’s wax figures are really life like. You can see some samples of her work for free in the front of the museum and in the lobby. At the time that I went Donald Trump, Beyonce and Derek Jeter were displayed. Admission is around $29 for adults, but you can get $6 off coupons from the free tourist magazines in the Times Square Tourist Center to save some money. Inside you see more celebrity wax figures. You can go right up to all of the wax figures, touch them, and strike a pose with them. Interactive exhibits include singing and making wax Simon Cowell roll his eyes and making J Lo blush when you whisper in her ear. In the gift shop you can make your own wax hand and bring it home.

If you're looking for something non-touristy to do, with very little money… don't go to Madame Tussaud's. I'm not knocking it – I actually had a good time – but just be aware that you're being sucked into a tourist trap and yes, those tickets ARE overpriced. But if this is your one and only chance to do it, or you want to go just to say you went, I won't stop you. You have to admit, it's pretty fun to pose with Samuel L. Jackson – even if he seems a little stiff.

I did not think I was going to like Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. I was dragged here by a friend, but as it turned out I really enjoyed it and had a blast posing with the wax celebrities. They really look real and it was not creepy like I thought it might be. Go here for a fun, touristy thing to do in New York.

At Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, you can hug an Oprah Winfrey made of wax. Where else can you do that? Maybe at a wax museum at a different country, but this is in New York. Where a supermarket of Sanrio is just across the street. Where the lights of Broadway make it look like daytime every hour of the night. Anyway, this museum is a lot of fun for the family and definitely a fun thing to do in NY.

The museum is amazingly maintained but can have significant lines because it is a very touristy attaction. Overall, this is something everyone should do once as toursits should not have all the fun

Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is a lot of fun -- the wax statues are so real, it's incredible. People of all ages will enjoy this place -- both kids and adults. There are celebrities, politicians, historical figures -- all created with lifelike features. It is centrally located -- right in the middle of Times Square. I just wish the admission prices weren't so expensive. I've had a lot of out of town visitors who would have loved to go -- but the high prices just didn't seem worth it when there is so much else to do in New York City.

This is such a great museum for everyone young and old. You can never be sure if you are looking at a wax figure or just a person standing very still waiting to startle you. The 'realness' of the wax figures is eerie, but you soon get used to it and will find yourself staring at your favorite celebrities. Go on and take the pictures you know you want to - so pose and have fun. It is conveniently located on 42nd Street, close to all the theatres if you are also in the area for a Broadway show

This museum is great! I am an avid hollywood fan. I love to follow what is going on. My dream one day is to meet some of the stars. However I do not think that will ever be possible unless I move to hollywood and stake out their homes. But I can do the next best thing, I can meet their doubles. Madame Tussaud's is a wax museum in New York Times Square were you can meet life size wax statues of so many peoples. They have floors of people. They also have interactive areas where you can feel like you are really talking to the person. A place to go to many many times.

An American version of the famous London wax museum. Don't forget to bring your camera because you and your friends can pose and take pictures with Albert Einstein, the president, Whoopi Goldberg, athletes and other celebrities as well as ghoulish figures in the French Revolution. They also show the steps into the making of a wax figure. They sell disposable cameras at the museum but if you forget, just drop into a local CVS/Duane Reade's before you go in since it'll probably be cheaper. Many of the wax figures are truly life like and their designer costumes magnificent. Take your time as you go through the rooms because it is over before you know it. Gift shop is at the end of the tour. Great for all ages even teens. Admission is pricey - about $24 for kids (4-12) and $30 for adults - 15% discount with AAA.
