The Man, the Museum Malcolm Forbes's eclectic taste is on display at the gallery he created to house a huge collection of knickknacks: 500 toy boats, 12,000 tin and lead soldiers, and the famous Faberge Easter Egg collection are probably the most well-known objects. These share space with paintings, jewelry, maps, and important papers--including a manuscript of Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. Exhibitions relating to the permanent collection and traveling shows from other institutions are mounted regularly.
Here to Stay Permanent exhibitions include "Monopoly," handcrafted original versions of the Monopoly board game and the Landlord's Game that inspired it; "The Mortality of Immortality," medals, cups, and other trophies from around the world; "The Mastery of Faberge," more than 200 objets d'art, including five Imperial Easter Eggs, created by Russian jeweler Peter Carl Faberge.
