The rooftop bar is a pretty cool place to hang out and get a bar, especially during a weeknight. As with every swanky lounge, you can expect to pay a premium for drinks; however, the views can be worth it. The crowd is mixed with all sorts in attendance, but it is part of what can make it fun. Unfortunately, in some nights, you have to deal with two bouncers who shoot way more steroids than they should and may ask you for "a bill" so they can open the pearly gates for you; their common excuses for not letting you will in the form of your dresswear (jeans, sneakers). I would have rated this place higher if it wasnt because those bouncers are really that annoying.
Pros: Views, mixed crowd
Cons: The bouncers asking for money

This hotel was simply lovely. It's a great in-city getaway for you and your significant other. The rooms all have balconies with breathtaking views of the city. There is a rooftop pool/bar with another great view. The drinks, however, are a bit pricey. $14 for a mixed drink!! The health club was a little disappointing because it was still undergoing renovations, thus I didn't get to use the spa. Also, the service was slow at times because of the place was flooded with guests. Still, the room was heavenly and I had a good time.

If you want to stay where the celebrities stay when they're downtown, then this is the place for you. Many stars live here when filming movies in NY.
The hotel is similar to the W hotels in that it's more about looks than substance. Plus, it's on the pricey side.
The main appeal of this restaurant is the location and night scene.
The hotel is right across the street from Pastis, Spice Market and the Soho House, all posh places to party.
The rooftop bar and pool draws a weeknight and weekend crowd. It's worth it to splurge on one drink ($14 is the average price of a cocktail) but the views of the Hudson and the surrounding areas are great.
The rooms tend to be small and are more about style than substance.
But if you want to impress, then this is the place to stay.
