The New York Movers Movers team was led by mike. Mr. Mike is without question, the best crew leader I have observed during my more than 26 years of military service. Mr. Mike set high standards for his crew and they lived up to his expectations. All members of the packing and moving crew (Jeff, Troy, James, Richer, Manos, Marc, and Sam) knew their jobs, operated with efficiency and enthusiasm, and kept us informed. Based on my many experiences with movers across the United States and in foreign countries, this New York Movers Movers team led by Mike deserves a gold medal."

Would definitely use these movers again. I had to move from NYC to upstate NY. I was worried about my flat screen TV getting damaged on the way there because of the overall distance to get there. But, I didn't worry about it as much since these guys are not only friendly, but incredibly reassuring that my stuff would get there okay. They came prepared with the appropriate equipment to move my stuff out of my apartment and to load onto their truck. They disassembled my bed and re-assembled it when we got to my new place which was one less thing to worry about when I got there. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with their service. I would recommend them to anybody who needs the reassurance of a "problem free" move because they deliver what they promise. Thank you guys for moving my stuff. Wow! All I can say is wow! These guys made my move so incredibly easy. I was moving into a luxury condominium building that has very strict insurance requirements. A woman named Erica from the mover's office immediately contacted me once I accepted their bid. She and I were in contact the entire time up until the day of the move. She was available all of the time and even responded to my e-mails on weekend. She was extremely helpful in providing all of the paperwork my building needed. She worked directly with the management company and I did not even need to be involved. About a week before the move I needed to add my big screen TV to the job. They were more than willing to accommodate my request and we negotiated an additional fee for the TV. On the day of the move, they were 15 minutes early, which was impressive based on my experience with other movers. They brought an extra mover who was not originally in the quote and did not charge me extra. They knew exactly what they were doing and had an assembly line of moving boxes out the door and pushing them on rolling carts to the service elevator and out to the truck. They wrapped my sofa and bookcases before moving them. My big screen TV is incredibly awkward to move and they did a phenomenal job of wrapping the whole thing and they carefully moved it to the truck. They had moved me out of my old apartment in 1.5 hours including 60 boxes and several pieces of furniture. They drove the four blocks to my new apartment and started moving everything into the new place immediately. They were extremely careful on the move-in and asked me where each piece should go. They were courteous and efficient the entire time. None of my items were damaged and there were no marks on any of the walls. They unwrapped all of the wrapped items before they finished. In total, it only took them 3 hours and 15 minutes to move me from my old apartment to the new one, which is incredibly impressive. I ended up having more stuff than originally planned and they did not charge me any additional money. Overall these guys were professional, courteous, and efficient and they kept to their agreement of the flat rate that was originally quoted to me. With moving being as stressful as it is, these guys made it as easy as possible and I would highly recommend them.

My move at the end of December was quite complicated since it involved several different places, in all different types of buildings. I was happy to find a crew of movers that seemed happy with their job! They arrived half an hour earlier then expected and were ready to work. They managed to alleviate my stress by joking around while carefully wrapping all my furniture with great care. They even packed my clothing and kitchen items! I felt very comfortable with the level of service that I received. The movers were very neat and when strangers hande your personal belongings…it means a lot! I found everyone in New York Movers , from their sales departments to everyone that handled the move to be very nice, courteous, professional, helpful, and did precisely the job that needed to be done. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Dear Sam: I just wanted to thank you for your assistance with my move three weeks ago. You were always professional and understanding despite the fact that I called you practically everyday to change the list of items I was taking with me. Also, I was very impressed with your moving crew, as they worked quickly and efficiently to carefully move my furniture. Mike, your foreman, and the rest of his crew were friendly, very helpful and professional. Everyone that I dealt with at New York Movers was great and made a very stressful day go smoothly with no glitches, hidden fees or surprises. We moved out of our apartment to a storage facility in May 2006. After tons of research. we decided to use New York Movers. The experience with Sam (sales rep?) and the movers (led by Mike) couldn't be any better. Sam answered every question that I had before the move. Their price was competitive (by hour) and Sam even put a cap on the cost. Mike and his team (especially Mike) worked diligently for 8-9 hours. The only unexpected cost was the traffic ticket that the moves got and I was responsible for it. Now I am ready to move back to my newly renovated apartment. Even though I wanted New York Movers to handle my move again, unfortunately their hourly rate went up 30% and they are fully booked until Feb 5th. To save some money on my rent, I found another company who can move me on Feb 1st, but the company has concern about the size of the truck that I need. I called Sam at least six times regarding the truck and the other issues. Every time I called, Sam treated me as if he was my next mover. He even offered to pick up 20 blankets we rented from them. What else you can expect from a moving company? After discussing with my husband, we decided that we will wait for New York Movers. When I called Sam the next day, the Feb. 5th spot is already taken. To make our long story short, we decided to wait for New York Movers until their next available date which is Feb 12th. Yes, we have to pay more on our rent, and have to pay 30% more on the hourly moving rate (even after their increase, their price is still competitive with other moving companies), but I don't have to worry about the move anymore. I fully trust this moving company! p.s. I will share my next experience with New York Movers with you after I finish my next move.

From the beginning, New York Movers was a pleasure to work with. We were nervous about having to spend so much on moving, but after the horror stories we'd heard, we figured flat-rate was our best shot. And the people at New York Movers were really attentive and honest--they pride themselves on treating their customers right. That may sound like just a slogan, but in this case, it certainly seems to be true. There were no hidden costs, no sudden "adjustments" to the estimate, and the team that moved our stuff was EXCELLENT. Juan and his crew were really the best--prompt, quick, careful and nice. We were done moving all our stuff by about 1PM--a MIRACLE! True, we had most things packed, but they handled everything that needed extra care; the guys even moved all my plants with nary a leaf disturbed. All our boxes and trunks and shelves and furniture, and only one wine glass broken--and I'd packed that myself, so it was most probably my fault. We would use them again in a heartbeat, if we were ever going to move again...which we're not, of course. Moving may be awful, but New York Movers made the actual moving day a real pleasure , thank you again New York Movers , the REAL New York Movers .
