Thank you David, I was reading some reviews about brokers, Called Gabriel Mizrahi from citi habitats.
Just like you I told him what I wanted and he found it ont he first apartment he showed me, And didnt pay a fee. Its true that tomany new broker int he city and there clueless. Gabriel knows his stuff.

I have had a fantastic experience renting from Jakobson Properties, I met with one of the Jakobsons themselves. He really took me under his wing and introduced me to Manhattan and Queens. (I was coming from out of town.) The people at Jakobson took time with me like no other broker or owner had to that point.
I enjoyed my apartment thoroughly, and when it can time to leave, there were no hassles.
Whenever I had an issue in the apartment, it was dealt with quickly and professionally
I once had an issue with a late payment because my bank bounced my check. I simply called Jakobson accounting office. they were understanding and they waived the late fee! They are real human beings!!
I recommend Jakobson Properties highly.

Nice people, very responsive to my needs. Worked with me (and I'm tough) for several months until they helped me find the right apt for the right price. Really for a small boutique type brokerage the personal service was exceptional. I would recommend them to anyone that is serious in looking for space in Manhattan and doesn't want to get lost in the shuffle with a large anonymous agency.

Manhattan Apartments have tons of brokers who post about the same apartments on various websites without specifying the name of their company. Some apartments listed on their own website are surprisingly cheap, but when you call, you will be told that those deals are gone. Then they will try to get you to look at other places at higher prices. They just want to get you to go to their office.

A Fine Company provided me with the best service in New York City! After working with several shady brokers I found A Fine Company through Google. The agent I used to find my condo was the most professional, pleasant, and trustworthy person I've ever dealt with in any business transaction. He walked me through from A to Z and handled every detail meticulously. Happy to say that I am ecstatic about my new condo and can't wait to use A Fine Company again when I'm ready to sell! the agent wa like a friggin pit bull. in fact it was mildly annoying cause he kept chasing me out of my apartment every sunday so he could have an open house there. i've never seen a broker work so hard on a property. by the time we sold it i think he told me we had north of 250 potential buyers go through my doors. i was concerned initially that they wouldnt have the marketing power of a corcoran or elliman but he did get the buyers there and ultimately get it sold at a decent level.

Although I have not seen any no-fee apartments offered through Citi Habitats (I look for studios for rent), very occasionally they have cheap finds in doorman buildings in good neighborhoods. They charge a broker fee which is standard in New York. What I like is their website is reasonably updated, and I do not think they engage in false advertising.

When I was looking for a new apartment in the West Village, my roommate’s boss recommended that we call her broker at Dorsia Group. We found the cutest two bedroom near Bleecker Street that I absolutely fell in love with. Our agent seemed to know every apartment on the market and helped us to find the best place we could actually afford.

I hired Charles Luk as my representative attorney for a co-op apartment sale in Queens. In the few months of working with Luk & Luk, I met Charles all of one time to go over estimated closing costs. Aside from that one meeting, he never returned my phone calls and responded to just one e-mail. His assistant, Sammie, is wonderful. She does most of the legwork for the entire office and is thus always busy. However, she is very friendly, helpful and mostly responsive considering how busy she is.
