Lombardi's is the only pizzeria that serves its pizza by the tradition coal oven. A few years ago, it was just a small pizzeria with long lines of customers waiting outside for a table. Now, Lombardi's has bought out the next door lot and transformed it to a beautiful Italian pizzeria! Surrounded by large glass windows, the exterior is gorgeous, adorned with pots of flowers and burgundy wood. Walking by, you can see all the people inside enjoying their pizza. Even though it has gotten much larger, there are still long lines waiting outside to get in! One thing about Lombardi's is that you can't order by the slice but by the pie so be sure to bring a few people that can help you devour it all!

Lombardi’s Pizzeria on Spring St is by far the best pizza you will ever have in your life. Apparently, everyone else agrees with me because in every ranking that I have seen, this pizzeria is ranked as the best in New York City and the world as well. If you’ve never had pizza from here, you’re depriving yourself. Only complaints are that they don’t sell by the slice.

This place has the best pizza in New York city. I'm not even opining there, because it has been rated the best for as long as I can remember. You can't live in New York without trying pizza form Lombardis. The only downsides to this place are that it is ridiculously expensive and that it doesn't sell pizza by the slice. Even with that though, its worth the high price and if you buy a pie, its 8 times the pleasure.

One of the best pizza. I think there's still the debate as to where the first pizza was created and Lombardi's one of them, but it doesn't matter who created it first because the pizza here is delicious. It even offers free fresh garlic to top on the pizza. This is a plus for garlic lovers. The crust is just right I think they still use the old brick oven or something. i order just the regular style pizza, but they offer pizzas such as clam. Lines can be long often out to the store, but it is a gem.

As someone who came to New York from San Francisco, I sometimes think that the Big Apple has an inflated vision of itself in terms of food. But when it comes to pizza, New York is indeed king (sorry Chicago and New Haven).
And when people talk about the best New York pizza it usually comes down to a choice between Lombardi's and Grimaldi's. For me, Lombardi's is the winner.
Of course, the service there is not that great, usually hovering somewhere between indifferent and rude. But there is a simple reason for that: they know it doesn't matter. You're going to go back regardless.
