Koronet's is located just a few blocks away from Columbia University, and is a huge favorite of the students there - and for good reason! Koronet's serves huge (bigger even than "normal" New York sized slices) slices of pizza. The prices are low, which is especially attractive to the students in the neighborhood. And to top it all off, the pizza is really good! I won't go so far as to call it great, mostly because it has a tendancy to be a bit too greasy, but for the price you are paying and for the quantity you receive, that is an annoyance at the most.

What can you say about this no frills pizza joint located near Columbia University? The jumbo slice, which is about as long as your arm, is a great value at $2.75 / slice. One of these will fill you up for the day. The lines move fast, the pizza is always hot & good, you can't go wrong here. No delivery and limited menu, but somehow it works. There is limited seating, but these monster-sized slices can easily be packaged for take out. Don't miss.

If you don't already know about Koronet then now you know. This place has stood the test of time in the ever-changing landscape of the Columbia University makeover near 110st and Broadway, and for good reason. This spot is hands down one of the best pizzerias as you head uptown and for good reason. It is clearly a favorite among Columbia students and common folk alike and I have been going there since my teenage years. The main attraction is the jumbo slice, which will run you around $2.50. but is more than worth it, since you can either have the slices for yourself or split it in two for two regular slices. The staff is decent and you can eat in if you dont mind a constant stream of people coming in and out of the shop getting their pies and slices to go.
