I used to be a secret shopper for CPK (the abbreviation for those in the know) and I became addicted to the BBQ chicken pizza. Alas, those pies aren't free anymore.
It's still a favorite spot. Yes, it basically fast food, but it's yummy and fresh(ish). The salads are well orchestrated (but oh are those dressings fat laden--please, please order them on the side). The southwestern items are the best (fajita pizza, etc.).
Skip the bread and order a pizza. Don't wimp out with just a salad. Though the Waldorf is respectable for a chain restaurant. The staff will provide crayons and paper for the ankle biters.

California Pizza Kitchen has some of the most unusual pizza pies I've ever tried. Originally this superb delight was only available to the Californians, but this restaurant on 60th and 3rd, allow New Yorkers to enjoy what others have enjoyed for years. The spring rolls are delicious, especially the thai ones, but the baja chicken and mediterranean are good too. I usually try to get weird toppings; I've tried the peking duck, thai chicken, pear and gorgonzola, and japanese eggplant. But if you like to stick to the basics, they have pepperoni, plain, and mushroom as well. Happy eatings!
