I think about Joe's. I fantasize about Joe's. I have flow across the country with a box of Joe's...but nothing beats a hot out of the oven slice, eaten standing perched at a table with some hot pepper flakes to boot and a soda over ice sipped through a straw to wash it down! I personally prefer the Joe's on Bleecker Street and I insist on going there everytime we go to NYC. I'll be dining on a slice in approx 10 days and I cannot wait.

If you don't already know about Koronet then now you know. This place has stood the test of time in the ever-changing landscape of the Columbia University makeover near 110st and Broadway, and for good reason. This spot is hands down one of the best pizzerias as you head uptown and for good reason. It is clearly a favorite among Columbia students and common folk alike and I have been going there since my teenage years. The main attraction is the jumbo slice, which will run you around $2.50. but is more than worth it, since you can either have the slices for yourself or split it in two for two regular slices. The staff is decent and you can eat in if you dont mind a constant stream of people coming in and out of the shop getting their pies and slices to go.

Owner operated neighborhood pizza shop, recently beautifully renovated. Best traditional pizza in the neighborhood! Not trendy thin crust brick oven pizza but pizza that leaves you much more satisfied. Open daily till midnight. Friendly and helpful service. Nicely designed and bright and cheery. Kid friendly. I have often taken my kids with their friends and everything was great! They also have heros, salad, pasta and delicious gyro. $2.25/regular slice or $12/large cheese pie.

Two Boot’s is the epitome of screwing around with pizza. While some of their creativity is nice and some of their pizza may actually be ingestible, no one should ever put peanut butter on their pizza for crissakes. This place took a slice of pizza and threw it in the fridge and whatever stuck to it, they made a pizza out of it. If you’re a yuppie, you’ll love it. If you have any reverence for pizza, you’ll stay away.

Uno's is a favorite for many and we've had our share of good times there. Although the ambiance is not typical Manhattan, it's a nice casual and inexpensive place to have a laid back meal. If you like deep dish pizza, this is a good place to go. I really enjoy their salads as well. The service is usually good and they are friendly and pretty prompt.

The pizza is good. Yes, there is better (Grimaldi's and Lombardi's), but if your in Times Square and are craving good pizza, this is a good place to go. Downside though is that it's in Times Square. So like most of the restaurants in that area, it's crowded. And the wait isn't short either. I think both times I went, I had to wait around 30 minutes for a party of 2-3. And that's pretty long considering they have the capacity to seat a whole lot of people in there.

While visiting New York City, we ended up at this chain pizza restaurant since we couldn’t find Grimaldi’s. My mom fell in love! She thought the pizza was the best in New York (not me!). It was very tasty, however, the bathroom could have been in better condition. Also, not sure why, but men kept coming in the womens restroom (yes, I’m sure I was in the right one :). Tasty place for a pizza.
