Today, I had the pleasure of secretly checking out M Salon on 77th/3rd. I went in as a walk-in and even though the salon was full of female stylists, I requested a male stylist for a cut and color. You need to understand that I am HIGH MAINTENANCE when it comes to my hair! So putting my trust in a new stylist was trying to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service. Not only was Effe very good with suggesting color, he was a great sport with a difficult customer. I was very friendly initially, but by the end of the cut, I was a nasty, difficult client complaining about how I hated the color, etc. He and the owner, Ezther tried profusely to make amends, offering to correct the color and really trying to understand what I didn't like. But, I paid my bill and left without tipping anyone. I went back an hour later and was welcomed when I walked back in and asked if I was ready to make my wanted corrections. I found MV by accident walking in my neighborhood one day. Kia was able to take me in and she helped me decide what I should do to freshen my look and make me feel more 'exciting.' I had never had highlights before and knew she was right about a new fresh look. My hair has never looked so spectacular. She did such a wonderful job... I now will go nowhere else.. I recently discovered them and Caroline saved my hair. This time I went and Effie did my highlights. I got caramel honey on brunette and it came out very natural!!!! The other great thing is that is really softens my 'look' and I look younger! Effie was great and I am so happy my hair looks beautiful! Pros: cool environment - great staff

I called on a Monday morning and was able to get an appointment for that afternoon. I wasn't sure what color I really wanted, but knew I wanted it blonder. Carolina did the best color I've ever had, and I've been getting it colored for about 10 years. It's blond, but not all one color. It looks so bright and very natural. With the cut all I said was lots of layers and not to get rid of the length. It actually looks longer now with the way she did the layers. The blow out was the best part. When I left I felt so good about myself and my hair. The price was reasonable, but a full foil of highlights and lowlights doesn't come cheap. I will definitely be returning! Pros: Same day appts, friendly service, clean, great results

I heard about MV from a neighbor of mine and went to check out getting hair extensions. I met with Magda who changed from head of short hair into gorgeous extensions that go down to my waist! Suddenly I have the long hair I have always wanted. My full head extensions look SO natural.. Magda was amazing and really took her time with me. My hair is thick and beautiful not only looks like my own.. but feels like my own. I have never been happier .. A MUST to check out! Pros: best salon experience ever - reasonable prices!!!

Even thought she was extremely busy, she has find time to give me some suggestions. I did schedule an appointment for the following day and I was very pleased with the result.
