I've watched old soap episodes, beginning episodes too. It's also a treasure trove of early kinescopes and archival episodes of your favorite TV memories. What a wonderful thing.

The Museum of Television & Radio has over a thousand television and radio programs in the museum's library, all of which can be viewed at any time. Not as popular as many of the museums in New York but definitely as cool if not more so. They have everything from Orson Welles to I Love Lucy in their libraries which you can listen to one of their 100 boots. It's open most of the time except holidays and they often have exciting events happening.

Did you miss the Lazy Sunday episode of SNL? Have you never gotten over the fact that Cheers was canceled? Do you really like to watch the commercials? The Museum of Television & Radio is for you. It is set up more like an archive than a museum, as you must pick what shows, news programs, series of specially put together programs you would like to watch in a 2-hour window and then you get to watch them on your very own little TV (you can share with a friend or lover, as they can hook up 2 sets of headphones). All for the price of admission. There is also a radio section, but I am not much of a radio person, so I didn't spend much time there.

This museum is educational for anyone interested in television or radio. Maybe the most fun part is the viewing section where you can sit at a station and watch selections of old television. It is particularly cool to watch shows from a really long time ago. There are also clips you can watch that are interviews of directors and actors speaking about their work. I recommend taking a day to check out this museum. It's a lot of fun.
