I stumbled upon StarCity Moving on CitySearch and am so glad I did. This was my first time using movers, so I was a bit nervous about finding a company that truly was reliable, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. But StarCity was all of that and more - they were very nice over the phone and even took the time to email me back and forth about a concern I had about my couch fitting in the doorway. The movers showed up right on time and after loading my things onto the truck, they would RUN back up the stairs to get more (I honestly have no idea how they do this everyday). They made sure to ask questions about what was being moved out of the old apt and also where (and how) I wanted it all laid out in the new apt. I had a brand new couch that was still wrapped in plastic - they took the time to help me unwrap it and screw the legs in. AND as I was putting sheets on my bed, one of the movers asked if I wanted him to lift the mattress up so that I could place my bedskirt back on top of the boxspring. How he even thought about this when I obviously forgot is beyond me. But they are undoubtedly awesome and I am definitely using them the next time I move!

Your company moved me from an upstairs apartment to my new home 25 miles away. I want to thank you for the job your company and your movers did. The truck arrived well within the two hour time frame. The three men who moved me were professional, courteous, efficient and friendly. They completed emptying my apartment in what seemed record time. The truck arrived at my new home moments after I did and all items arrived in good condition. I freely and highly recommend your services. Thank you for all you’ve done and for treating me and my meager belongings with respect.

Yes, this is it! "The" moving company in New York as only this company has helped me out with my tons of furniture articles. I bought some furnishings and had to move them to my house in Manhattan but no other moving company agreed to do it at the late hour. All except for AZ Moving Inc.

Local gay-owned moving company with big pink trucks! Don't let that scare you. I only used them for a local move, but I was very satisfied with their service.
They showed up on time with the right equipment, and cheerfully completed the move-out down 2 flights of stairs even after a neighbor broke the elevator mid-move! They handled the breakables gently.
The final cost was not much more than the original estmate, even after the unexpected stairs. Movers are generally a shady and untrustworthy bunch - Ideal is a rare bright spot.

I hired Columbia Moving Systems and scheduled 3 weeks prior to my actual move.Anthony was great at getting things scheduled and answering all of my many questions.They showed up at exact time that Anthony was promised.The guys run,they move with lighting speed,and never took a break during the move.Plan to use them again.I highly recommend Columbia Moving Systems.
