I found that this bus to and from Boston smells and looks a bit better than Lucky Star, the other Boston-NY line. Its really no quicker but that's up to traffic. It's cheap and the website is user friendly. The temperature is well regulated and you can't find a cheaper way to travel. Probably renting a car would take even longer.

Fung Wah, which only goes to Boston, and other bus company of the likes, has gotten me to my necessary destinations more times than I can count. For the times I got really bored and wanted to go to Boston for a day (or 2) trip, Fung Wah got me there very cheaply. If you would like to go to Philadelphia or D.C. or basically anywhere with a Chinatown, these buses will get you there for under 20 dollars. Although, these buses are not as safe or clean or comfortable as a greyhound bus, if you wanna get there with enough money to enjoy your trip, Fung Wah is the way to go!

If you really want a cheap ride to Boston for 10 bucks you should buy your ticket at fung wah bus. it's the same as riding grey hound, and there is probably less of a chance that they will be a delay unalike greyhound. however, it comes to the point of whether you're willing to risk the fact that these buses aren't known for their safety. it is well known that these buses are not well know for their fire safety. however, i have taken these buses often for cheap rides to boston, and they are pretty dependable.

Fung Wah Bus is a fantastic way to get from New York to Boston (from Chinatown to Chinatown) for really cheap: 15 dollars each way! It's a great deal, and the trip is as reasonable in time as any bus ride is. There is usually a pit stop somewhere half way along the way. The people are very regimented, so you have to make sure that you are ready for the bus at the time it's leaving. Get tickets before the make sure you can be on the bus you want. Online tickets can be bought also.

I heard about this bus service from my chinese teacher and was so impressed with it. $15.00 each way from NY to Boston plus you can make your reservations online. I have heard of other buses leaving from Chinatown but I was impressed with the cleanliness of the bus. My only negative is that I wish the service left from somewhere more midtown. but if you want to save yourself the hassle of traffic and the cost of gas this is the best way to get to Boston!

If you go to college in boston or go to boston offten then this bus company may be for you. It is usually cheap 15 dollars and gets you to or from new york in 4-5 hrs flat depending on traffic. At times, it is a little sketch but the service is extremely reliable. Although during peak hours everything gets crazy. You are better off waking really early in the moring and taking the 7 am bus. Trust me on that.

I have been riding Fung Wah buses for years. Buses run every hour on the hour from like 6 AM until midnight, to and from Boston. They leave NYC's Chinatown, and travel directly to Boston South Street terminal. A round trip costs $30. I think it would cost more in gas alone at this point...so even if you have a car, this is cheap. They have the same coach buses as greyhound or any other line, and share the terminal with all of them in Boston, but they do not connect to Port Authority in NY, only Chinatown.

I say go with the Chinatown bus, but be careful what company. I've never had a problem with Fung Wah - it was cleaner and nicer than Greyhound - but the one time I took the Apex line the whole bus smelled like pee. The other positive aspect of the Chinatown buses is that they're only recently well known, so you're likely to be riding with people who live in Chinatown and students, while every obnoxious, smelly, loud drunk knows about Greyhound and will head straight to Port Authority. I've definitely had more peaceful rides with fellow Chinatown bus riders. A side note though: be sure to look at a map of the city you're going to before you arrive, as the buses pretty much just drop you on a corner as opposed to a centrally located big bus station.
