Chef Masa is fantastic. He always makes it a memorable experience. When you go, you must sit at the sushi bar and order the omakase! There is no other way to do it. Enjoy!
Pros: Excellent Service and delicious fish
Cons: It's not cheap

Great "neighborhood" restaurant (if you happen to live in midtown east). Fresh, honest and tasty Japanese food and sushi. The mostly Japanese clientele as well as the obvious repeat customers speak volumes of the authenticity and quality of this restaurant.

Great food, cozy setting, and welcoming staff. Ginza is a hidden gem in Murray Hill. The personnel always takes the extra step to make your experience an exceptional one. The food is low-priced compared to the quality of your meal. They are always welcome to inventing your own roll with whatever ingredients you desire. Try the Sushi Pizza.
Pros: Service, Food
Cons: Not being able to have a banquet

This is the first review I have ever written, but it is so well deserved. This is by far the best sushi in the city, and who knew? It puts Monster Sushi and Sushi Samba to shame for a 1/4 the price.
it is a typic small business, no massive frills or amazing decor, but amazing service and the best Sushi ever! Amazing selection
Everyone should try it once, and they deliver!

No wonder all my Japanese friends and peers all rave about this place.
Binchotan charcoal in full effect. You gotta love that. Real Japanese Charcoal burning at 1800 degrees F.
Pros: If you are looking for authentic Japanese Izakaya food, here you have it.
Cons: Can't really think of one.

This is the best sushi I have every tasted hands down. It's fresh, the rolls are big, and the taste is amazing! The spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls are unbelievable-the flavor is bursting in your mouth. My friend and I are hooked on it and get it delivered to our different offices as much as we can afford to (and we can afford plenty because they have the best lunch specials-2 rolls, miso soup, and salad for only $8.50 plus tax)! This is a definite must try! You will not be dissappointed.
Pros: Amazing sushi, taste, price
Cons: None!

that you have never had a bad experience? Well, I can't count all of mine on one hand, not including my thumb. It's authentic Japanese here, not some fusion wannabe stuff. And the presentaiton an be a bit pretty, you may not want to disturb it to eat! LOL! But it's not cheap, but it's not expensive either, especially for what you get. A bonafied good night out.

A group of four had a memorable experience at Aki. We sampled flights of sake and had the omakase dinner with the three appetizers. The chef's selection was so delicious, with all flavors complementing each other. Being Jamaican I was skeptical of the "fusion" of Jamaican flavors but must admit that the chef pulled it off. The wait staff is so attentive that they anticipate your needs bringing moist towels, replenishing water, etc. It is a pricey evening, however, the food and outstanding service are well worth it.
Pros: Excellent, creative sushi
Cons: Small space
