First discovered Ciao Bella gelatos at Newark Airport and have been a fan ever since. For those not familiar with gelato, it is an Italian style ice cream that has less butter fat than American style. giving it an intense flavored treat that is simply delicious. Yum yum.
Favorite flavors include green tea, pistachio, ginger, malted milk ball and coconut. I also have tasted their treats at Sarabeths Restaurant. They blend the gelato with either brownies, jams or pecan pie to deliver an unbelievable dessert.
Ciao Bella is carried at upscale stores like Whole Foods, Balduccis, some ShopRites, Dean & DeLuca or you can track them down on-line by state and see where you can buy the product at one of their "scoop" stops (like at Newark Airport).
Don't live near A Ciao Bella outpost, order it on-line and have it delivered!

Ciao Bella has some of the most delicious gelato i've ever tasted in the BIG APPLE. Their ice-cream is not that expensive if you compare it to the prices in Little Italy or other Italian dessert places. Their hazelnut biscotti gelato is to die for, as is their mango sorbet. Plus, it's a good place to run into Lindsay Lohan if you're lucky because she LOVES Ciao Bella.

their gelato is ok here. but the storefront is tiny and its sooo expensive. it costs liek $4 for a single scoop. what the heck is that? unless it was filled with solid gold i dont get it. its nice i guess if your date is paying. i would recommend if you are a sorbet person, though, to take a crack at their blackberry champage. you can taste the subtle hint of the champagne against the intense berry flavor. normally im an ice cream person but that sorbet won me over

i am an ice cream nut. i would only say that their ice cream is ok. not to mention its outrageously priced. you gotta pay like $5 for a thimble full of ice cream. their ice cream flavors arent that unique either. while i dont typically like sorbets, however, these are quite good. the champagne blackberry is killer. you can taste the champagne which doesnt overwhelm... however, if its ice cream youre after, take a stroll a few blocks to it laboratoria gelateria. better selection and prices
