A beautiful hotel in the middle of midtown on the east side. Rooms are expensive, but they are large and the beds are some of the most comfortable I have been in. The Palace has a beautiful lobby and hallways to match. The location behind St. Patrick's Cathedral is ideal for parade goers, Rockefeller Center fans and those who come to the city for the restaurants on the east side. Recommended for luxury accommodations.

We've stayed at the Belvedere twice now. It's just off 8th avenue and it 's very quiet. It's a short walk to all the theaters. Rooms are average size for a room in New York. We had a king size bed-it was so comfortable that we fell asleep quickly and hated to get out of it. Bellmen are fantastic. They will help you with whatever you need and are NOT the kind that hold out their hands for a tip. Good courteous service from everyone. The only drawback is that the elevators are small and take too long to get to you. They can probably fit 6 people if crammed in and maybe 4 with luggage. Most people don't know to use the side elevator. It's to the right of the lobby near the stairs. The left side elevator is a service elevator, but we go on it a few times out of frustration. There was also no air conditioning in the hallways which made waiting for the elevator seem even longer. The air in the room was fabulous.
If you want a good hotel that is clean and decent and friendly, it's worth the money!
Pros: quiet; friendly staff; clean
Cons: small elevators

The room we stayed in was nice and comfy. We had a little trouble with the air conditioning system. It's very quiet here. The hotel is near Times Square. Unfortunately, the room rates are around $400 a night. The people at this hotel were so nice. I enjoyed the food here (room service).

I came to Oasis at the Affinia Dumont for a Brown Sugar Scrub, and I was absolutely thrilled with the results. Sandra did a really good job, and she was so nice! I didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable at all, even without my clothes on. And best of all, my skin was soooo soft afterwards!! :-)
Pros: relaxing, friendly staff, great results
Cons: none :-)

The whole hotel was very luxurious and the decor was tasteful. The rooms were immaculate and the elevators fast. There was no view, and the rooms were still very small. I felt claustrophobic so I was out most of the time. I eat in the hotel and the restaurants are very nice , the food are great , a large slection of sea food , everything over this place is wonderful , i wil get only over there the next time I need a place to stay .
What all the waiters did was hand out so much bottled water I didn't buy any while I was in New York City. Each day they had hors d'ouevres that tasted like they were precooked, and there was a bar where you could order (not free) alcoholic drinks. There was free Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea along with internet access.

The staff here are wonderful and friendly. It seems to me that the hotel is starting to show its age...the lobby looks kind of worn. The minibar is very overpriced, so don't eat or drink anything from there. The hotel is in a great, convenient location. The Museum of Modern Art is pretty close to the hotel, be sure to go there.

Okay, its cheap and its located right in the heart of times square... Thats about all you're getting! Warning, the rooms are VERY small! And there is only one bathroom on each floor. Thats 1 toilet and 1 shower...This could make a few of people uncomfortable, I was one of those people! You really get what you pay for though.. If you're vacationing in the city, you wont be spending much time in the room anyway.

For a NYC Hotel in the Murray Hill section this was a very reasonable priced hotel. Obviously New York hotel rooms are all going to be on the small side, but our room was a decent size for New York, very clean, comfortable bedding and a decent size bathroom w/tub, we even had a small terrace. The staff was fabulous, very helpful and considerate. They welcomed us by name every time we returned to the hotel. The only warning I would give is that the continental breakfast is not free only the papers are, the breakfast is a whopping $20 a person. Other than that it was a great experience staying at this hotel!
