Surprisingly, our room here was pretty spacious. The shower was horrible though. The decor in the hotel was great and it was pretty nice overall. The staff were really helpful. The hotel is very clean. I really liked the bed because it was so comfortable. This hotel is also in a great location.

The Flatotel is not like any of the big chains out there. It is a unique place and the decor is really cool. My dad stays there all the time when he is in town on business. The room are extremely nice and spacious. There's a desk in every (or at least most) rooms along with a Herman Miller "Aeron" chair, by far the most comfortable desk chair. Rooms range from regular to suite. There is a concierge and a bar downstairs to help you if you need. You can definitely find cheaper, but prices are reasonable for New York City. If you're looking for something a little different, but still convenient and upscale, check out the Flatotel.
