The Washington Square Hotel must be listed in New York City Guide books in every country in the world. The lobby is an international terminal, with half a dozen languages being spoken at any given moment. It's website can be accessed in French, Spanish, German, Japanese and Portugese as well as English. And there's a good reason that tourists from all over keep returning here - it may not seem like a bargain - rooms start in the $150 range and go up - but considering the location - in the heart of Greenwich Village - and by NYC standards that's pretty good.

This was the best choice I ever made in hotels. We were upgraded to a bigger room for free. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms were spacious. We had no problem with the TV for as little as we used it. Very conveniently located next to Penn Station, several subway lines, Macy's, the Empire State Building, the Theater District. For $4 we could leave our bags after we checked out so we wouldn't have to drag them all over the city with us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Pros: Great service, Large rooms, Friendly staff

The Tuscany is a perfect spot to get away in the city. It is between Park and Lexington and recommended for a quiet calm area of the city on the weekends. Yet close enough to walk to the busy area of Times Square. Our room was fabulous - great setting for a lovers retreat. Perfect - perfect - everything was perfect!

Where do i begin?? from the perfect location to the rooms or the wonderful staff that goes the extra mile to make your stay one to remember, I couldn't find much wrong with this hotel...even when i looked under the bed!!!. The staff members are extemely kind and know how to make you feel like a millionaire. Asim, Chris and Matt took care of all my arrangements from show tickets, cars, and restaurants... that saved me alot of time. The managers John Avina and Trevor Boerger were easily accesible and willing to help, they have trained their staff to follow their lead. I really enjoy this hotel and hope that you will as well.

The room we stayed in was very small. We had a great view of a brick wall (yippee). The room was pretty clean though and our bed was pretty comfortable. If you just need a place to sleep for the night, this hotel will be fine. But if you want something more, than spend a few more bucks and get a better hotel.

Its all about location. Steps from the beautiful Washington Square Park, Ave of the Americas and ACEBDFV subway lines. Close to : NYU, SoHo, and The village.
The rates are reasonable and rooms are basic. Spring the extra 20 bucks and get a deluxe room, its worth it. The staff is not overly friendly, but helpful. I have stayed at this place more than 4 times now and love it.
Most of the rooms face the street and provide side views of Washington Sq Park.
This hotel is a nice break from the tourist ridden Times Square and is always full of fun places to visit!
Pros: Location, Subway, quiet
Cons: average rooms, small rooms
