Used to live down the block from here; due to the perpetual out-the-door wait, I would pop by an hour before, go eat elsewhere, and then head back for the reason to go--the dessert. The frozen hot chocolate is a much-imitated but unequaled classic. Not the cleanest joint, but chock full of retro, cute ambiance. Skip dinner and eat up dessert. Want to try the Vegas one next time I'm there.
Pros: Delicious desserts
Cons: Always a wait, lackluster entrees.

this place is great. I got a great dane and some frites. I was blown away. They have EVERYTHING. I do delivery orders from F&B a lot as I work in Chelsea. If you want some great hot dogs, at a great price, check them out. Try the beignet's too, so tasty.
Pros: Absolutely the best hot dog
Cons: One one store

The franks are grilled to perfection and you can get them anyway that you like, with chili, cheese, bare, sauerkraut... They also have the best curly fries around, they are spicy and very good. Highly recommended.

I work in the West Village and my coworkers and I have always been disappointed by either the quality of the pizza in the neighborhood, or its price. And then a coupon landed on our doorstep for Lizzie's Pizza that had just opened up, and we haven't gone anywhere else since. I'd recommend Lizzie's to anyone. Period.
Pros: good food and attractive italian men
Cons: wish they made dessert ;)

Although it is not a sit down restaurant anymore they still have the best chili in New York. Located in the Dining Concourse of Grand Central Station. I love that chili. If you are near Grand Central and you like chili, I would give it a taste. There are various types and sizes of chili. Something for everyone. Hopefully they will eventually open a sit down restaurant. Grab some chili and a beer and sit down and enjoy.
Pros: Best Chili in New York
Cons: Not a sit down restaurant, is located in a food court type of setting.
