Our name is Mud is such a fun place to go for a date, to hang out with your friends, or just to do something out of the ordinary. You go into the store and pick out something that you would like to paint: bowls, mugs, shot glasses, ashtrays, plates, ashtrays, etc., and you pay for the item and the time you spend there. It's a fun way to pass and in the end you have something that you can say that you semi-made. Well, painted anyway. You have to go back to the store about a week later to pick up your finish item since it needs to be "fired." If you aren't particularly artistic or don't want an end-product that isn't that pretty, they sell already-made pieces in the store. These are usually pretty cute; I especially love the pig bowl and the entire new york city collection. My only gripe about this place is that I have several mugs and bowls from them and they tend to chip. Still, the experience is a fun one.

I came here on a first date where we were looking for something that we could do rather then get drunk at a bar or lounge. It was adults night coincidentally and we could not refuse the free wine. Its funny that when you are handed something and told to paint...you totally blank out. The workers are really helpful and try to give you ideas and they are so friendly too. So while we thought about it and drank wine ( the wine was free flowing and we appreciated that) ...we ended up pretty tipsy while we were painting. It was one of my most enjoyable evenings where you could rediscover your creative side and with a bit of intoxication its pretty relaxing. You laugh and paint and its just good clean fun again...like kids. Also a real perk is that after anything is glazed it looks great. Even if you made a mistake it somehow comes out looking like you meant to do it...like abstract work for instance. The best part is that you have something to remember the experience by.

This is a place to paint ceramics and have them baked so that you can use them. Look at their schedule and find out when they are doing the adult evenings. They serve wine and it is so much fun to go with friends and paint some items together. After you paint your item, you give it in and they will glaze it. You can then pick it up in a week and you have a usable item. I always put my name and date on the bottom because it is fun to look at later.

The best thing is that Friday nights they are open late for "adults" and they offer free wine to accompany your painting. I would imagine it would make a great little party to host there!

Our Name Is Mud is a great place for both the young and old who loves to paint and create mugs, plates, and bowls. They offer a "plan" where you come in pick out an item you want to paint and then they charge you by every 1/2 hour of $5 dollars. You also have to pay for the item you want to paint on. They offer cups, face mugs, bowls, platter, vases, and etc. So just choose one and start painting! They also have stencils for the less artistic individuals. Before you start a staff will come and explain to you the process. If you decide not to paint they do sell finished products. Once you have finished your creation you have to wait for about one week to pick it up because they have to put it in the oven to glaze. It was a great time for children and adults. We came here for a "bachelorette" get together and it was fun. They also serve free wine on Thursdays and Fridays hence no children allowed at night!
