The roses are a nice touch, but...
When I say the rooms are small here, I mean it. One room that I was in was so tiny I could barely step off the bed without falling into the bathroom. At these prices, I want a room where I can at least turn around in without having to step through a doorway. There is a cool lobby, but don't plan on reading in the library chairs – it is far too dark. The Dean & DeLuca on the ground floor is also a nice addition to an okay hotel.

My teeth were in terrible shape for years. Within a few months, Dr. Kim made me two bridges and now I have a wonderful smile. He cares about his patients and explains each part of a procedure.
People compliment me on my beautiful teeth. I always recommend that they see Dr. Kim.

I went to Ying as a last resort before starting invasive fertility treatments. After many months of trying to conceive, I was able to get pregnant twice but both pregnancies ended in early miscarraige. We were devestated and desperate, and while I wasn't optimistic
I made an appointment for a consultation with Ying. She performed an exam where she checked my tongue and pulse and then asked lots of questions about my lifestyle, stress level, sleeping habits, cycle, whether I felt hot or cold, and more. It made so much sense that she didn't just focus on my menstrual cycle like the fertility doctors did and rather took a holistic approach to fertility. Ying was so knowledgeable and friendly that I began treatment that day. Each time I came in, we discussed my symptoms, looked at my temperature charts and she adjusted treatment accordingly. In a month I was pregnant! I continued the treatments throughout my first trimester to avoid another miscarriage and now I'm thrilled to say that I'm 33 weeks pregnant and looking forward to meeting my baby girlsoon. The treatments were very pleasant and relaxaing and I always felt refreshed after leaving her office.
Ying is very caring and genuinely concerned with the welfare of her patients. I would recommend her to anyone with fertility problems.

Dr.s Rackoff and Fisher are medical diamonds of Beth Israel at Union Square. The entire hosptial needs better trained admin staff, not irritated and arguing folks with patients in earshot. Doctors, like most things in life, have to 'fit.' Patients also need to partner, not be passive-Dr. Rackoff IS brilliant, doesnt BS, has no time to waste-its her compassion to get the most from her treatment time that drives her quickly from patient to patient, not rudeness. Auto-immune diseases and patients are multiplying faster than they can keep up, read the news!!!. BTW doctors claiming to be Rhuematologists capable of treating FM, CFS as well as varities of RA, are still looking at women with auto immune diseases as emotionally stressed etc. Dr. Rackoff may be quick, but she looks at the entire patient profile-I'd been misdiagnosed for decades, she saved my life, literally.

Horrible. She told me I had 2 molar cavities, and took all the fillings out, and told me I needed 2 inlays, which ended up costing almost $900. Then she told me there was a problem with my other molars, and all of them needed inlays, although I never had discomfort with any of my other molars.
I went to several other dentists, and it turns out, it was just 1 cavity in the molars, and not 2.
Then she put the bill through to the insurance company that she did work on the 2 molars.

Penn Optical is no fancy place...it doesn't take long to realize that they are understaffed. However, I have to say that I had the most pleasant experience with a young lady there named Cassie. She was so professional and charismatic - and although I was completely clueless, she helped me pick out an outstanding pair of frames. The compliments do not stop. If you go there, make SURE to ask for Cassie.

I went to Evelyn for chronic back/neck/shoulder tension from long hours at the computer. I had previously been to acupuncturists in Chinatown and on the UWS and liked the results, but I was frustrated with their weak communication skills and smiles/nods/short and vague answers. I was delighted to meet Evelyn! She chose this career after a more traditional job and loves the constant learning, and she is HIGHLY responsive and interested in the results of her work. She is thorough, easy to talk to, and provides a level of attention that is what I deliver in my own work. Evelyn is 100% professional yet still personal. Like a therapist , doctor, and spa visit, all in one!
Though I'm happy with her work on my back, that is not why I offered to write a review. I have had an "upset stomach" forever. I chalked it up to genes - both grandmothers died from Crohn's disease problems. Let's just say that Imodium was my good friend. I am SO HAPPY that I told Evelyn about my stomach; her face lit up, "I am going to fix this!" Yes, it is a bit awkward to discuss details of bowel issues, but I am shocked at the positive results. My regular MD offered pills and lifestyle changes that didn't work for me, and I was managing fine, though with some inconvenience. After Evelyn's treatment (many stomach needles), I specifically didn't change any habits, just to see what would happen. WOW! I am so surprised at the improvement. It took a few weeks to see big results, but WOW. The results were so far beyond what I would have thought possible for me.
After 7 visits, I haven't taken Imodium in over a month, I don't worry about being close to a bathroom at all times, and I didn't realize how much I was managing my life around my upset stomach. It is just amazing to be largely freed of this annoyance. I can't say that I understand why this works, but it does. Evelyn is honest about what she can help with and why, and she EXPLAINS. My highest compliments and thanks to Evelyn!
