Well, they aren't kidding when they say to reserve. The place really is tiny, but it makes the setting much more intimate and inviting. The ambiance was soft and warm and romantic, made you feel you were at a cozy dinner at your French friend's house. I went with 5 other girlfriends and got the benefit of trying everyone's dish. As for appetizers, the French Onion soup was good, as was the sausage and potato dish (though I wasn't as big as a fan as others). I got the mussels special as my entree, and it was very good! Very! Then the girls had the Bass, Lamb Shank, Duck and Steak, the latter two being my fav's of the night, but overall everything was very tasty. And filling. And the wine selection was good, but the price was affordable. And the desserts were wonderful as well. It really is a hidden gem. I'd say, if you're not into dining in over-the-top frou frou restaurants but you still want an over-the-top meal, go to 26 seats.
Pros: Warm and Inviting, Great tasting food
Cons: A wee bit cramped

My husband & I wanted to try something new, so we stopped in A.O.C. Bedford, a place we'd always noticed but never tried. We sat at the bar, since we weren't hungry for a whole dinner, and we ended up staying 3.5 hours! The host/owner was lovely! He was so welcoming, inviting, he made our (delicious!) crepes bar-side, he explained the considerable cheese selection in detail, and he was very generous with the wine. Everything we ate (and it turned into many courses) was delicious, and we agreed that 1. WE MUST GO BACK w/ Friends, and 2. I would write my first review on line ever in Citysearch because our experience was so special.
Pros: Warn, inviting, romantic, excellent food, cozy
Cons: Small restaurant

Roy Buttencamp is a wonderful manger of this beautiful restaurant. My daughter and I were guests of the St. Regis and decided to dine at Adour's. We did not believe we could get a reservation on such short notice, however, we were successful. The lounge is small and intimate, but the dining room is very intimate and probably one of the most beautiful dining rooms I have ever dined in.
We ordered the Filet Mignon, which was cooked as we requested and served on WARMED plates.
So often great restaurants do not warm the plates. The service was splendid, not overbearing, but attentive.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a lovely experience in NY.
Pros: The ambience, the service and the food!

This is a great place to have a delicious meal served in a relaxed setting. The service is top-rate and when the French doors are open in the front it is very romantic. My favorite dish is the seafood pot-au-feau. It is similar to a bouillabaisse but not as heavy, and the fenugreek they add to it makes it smell divine. They also have an early prix-fixe menu at $25 with great choices. I can't say enough about this restaurant. I love it.

We had dinner at this cute restaurant, the food is amazing and affordable, I took the truffle asparagus as an appetizer while my companion took the lamb meatballs it was suburb. For and entrees we shared they king crab ravioli (really home made) and the short rib that was so tender that I could cut them with the fork, the music in the back round was joyful and the service was excellent. Add it to your must try list !! I’ll come back
Pros: excellent food
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

As a student, I love coming here to read instead of being cooped up in my dorm room. The desserts are always great, fresh, and there's a lot to choose from. The pecan bars are really addictive, especially with a mocha. If that's too sweet for you there are lighter choices as well, but theres a lot of variety, especially if you go early in the day. It's a great place to become a regular, very low key. Bring and friend to study with or just hang out, it has a very relaxed feel in there.
