We had the salad, fried calamari and rib-eye steak. I must say, the fried calamari was the best I have ever had, not the typical crusty and bumpy kind, the pieces were large and the crust was smooth, just right! The steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had., unlike some of the other "fine" steakhouses in NYC. Very tasty. The staff were very nice and accommodating.
Pros: Excellent food right down to the cappuccino

I had my birthday party there in the spring and was really happy with the whole evening. It's BYOB (difficult to find) and the staff was warm and friendly. The food was great (just would suggest to skip the veggie side) and the price was even better. We were a large party so I knew that it would take some time. I'm not sure if service is slow when it's a normal group. I would definitely go back, definitely bring visitors, and definitely recommend to friends.
Pros: Exxcellent food, period
Cons: Slow service

This was my first trip to L'Ybane and I enjoyed every minute. For appetizers they suggested and served a variety of tasty delicacies as I was there with a large group to celebrate my friends birthday. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. I also liked the music in the background and the decor. I will definitely be back again.
Pros: Great variety
Cons: None

This place has fun live music, a great staff, and good burgers. They also serve beef wellington, if that's your thing. The chicken was a little salty, but otherwise I have no complaints. On Monday nights, they have a vocalist/pianist who can sing almost any Beatle song, plus a range of other pop music. If you want to hear a specific song, you can request it (and even sing with her!). If she doesn't know it, she can arrange it for the next Monday. The crowd is eclectic, but not the same crowd as Stonewall Bar/Inn around the corner, just to clear up any confusion. It is gay and straight (and everything in between) friendly.
Oh yeah, they also have seating outside in the warm seasons.
Pros: Live music, Burgers, Attentive service

The best all around dinner in Manhattan. If you don't like it here, you won't like it anywhere. I can promise you - you will have an amazing dinner... that is (if) you can get a reservation!

Very inventive asian fusion with flavors you wouldn't expect to find that work really well and are a very pleasant surprise. We had a fish dish that has moroccan flavors alongside sushi and spicy tuna pizza. It was all delicious and the drinks were great too! The food was very reasonable and the drinks were typical NYC prices.
Pros: Excellent food, good prices

I have been living in the area for a long time and a neighbor recommended this restaurant. I am not normally a huge fan of French food but this menu has something for everyone from traditional to unique dishes. I would highly recommend the veal scallopini, roast salmon, and pumpkin soup as an appetizer (when in season). For dessert the chocolate mousse was outstanding (I have not tried any other desserts). Decent wine list and solid service. It's small, but cozy and definitely worth the trip.
Pros: Great Food
Cons: Quaint but small
