It's another "hole in the wall" place in the east village. There are cute wooden tables with holes for your paper cone full of fries. Their fries are very fresh and portion's huge. The Mango Mayo is my favorite topping there. They don't sell alcoholic drinks, but you can get beers from a deli across the street and bring it in and enjoy your fries with it!

Fantastic french fries with over a dozen dips to choose from. While certain dips aren't gluten-free (like malt vingar), the fries are totally safe as nothing is every fried in the oil other than the fries. Many, but not all of the dips are also gluten free. Just ask, the staff is usually knowledgeable on this one.. Fries come in small and large cones (and even the small is pretty big). Fun for strolling with in the summer.

Just around the corner of St Mark's, you can find it easily by looking for the long line out the door. These fries come in 3 sizes served in paper cones. The great thing about this place is the countless amount of sauces that you can dip your fries in. You can get a combination of sauces that catch your eye, or just stick to plain old ketchup. I recommend the spicy mango sauce! This place will have you coming back until you try all the sauces.

I know they are called French Fries, but my European friends all tell me that the Belgians make the best fries. I was skeptical until I discovered this place. Then I was convinced. These guys twice cook their potatoes the old world way and offer them with nearly a million dips - naturally including catchup and mayo (as the Belgians suggest). The store is a long narrow crack in the wall but you have to get past that - the fries are that good. I you stumble upon it as you explore the lower east side or make a trek - either way, buy a sack and enjoy the best fries you have ever tasted. This is a real NYC find and you need to go to experience why Manhattan is food heaven.

Good thing a cone full of these delicious fries is only $4 (a bit more if you can't rseist a larger size or want to split with a friend) You may end up spending more on sauces for with 26 flavors to choose from it can be hard to decide what to deep these tasty frites in.

Despite everything we know about the nutritional backwardness of the divine food we call french fries, frites, American fries, etc. there comes a time and place where we must look the prospect of a triple bypass directly in the clogged artery and say, "Eat this!", and just do it. Pommes Frites on 2nd Ave is one of the few places that inspires such reckless abandon. These fry masters fry their fries not one, but twice! to ensure that perfect texture. They also offer up several dozen homemade dips including several mayos, dijon garlic mustard, Thai peanut sauce, curry ketchup. . . and the list goes on. Other contenders for best fries include: B. Frites in Midtown Manhattan and Gregory and Paul's stands on Coney Island (across from the Cyclone).
