This is my favorite restaurant in NYC - the prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, the waiters and waitresses are always helpful with choosing items. You must get the cheese plates and the veggies as appetizers. Huge wine list! This place is great for people with food allergies as well - the servers are very knowledgable, and they will make any of their pastas dishes gluten free! I have had two large group dinners here (25 people once, 10 another time) and both were done very well. My only cons would be that sometimes there is a long wait for tables and I wish they had a little bit more variety on the menu - but for the price you pay, this place is top notch.
Pros: Delicious food, huge wine list, helpful servers
Cons: sometimes long waits, menu a bit limited

My girlfriend and I made a trip to Casa Mono for lunch one Saturday afternoon. It wasn't crowded yet, but quickly filled up. The Hostess (Jenna or Jenny?) was very friendly and knowledgeable about menu items and helped us both make our selections. The food was excellent. I highly recommended the Patatas Bravas. Although it is small, it has a nice atmosphere. Casa Mono is well worth the visit.
Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere
Cons: Very Small Space

If you picked this restaurant up and placed it anywhere else in the city it would be uber popular with the locals. It has a great ambiance and the food is some of the greatest non-shishi (Nobu, Tao) food I've ever had. Lobster spring rolls are sooo tasty that I save my calories for them. Everything is great, service too. I take my mom here when she visits since I like great food but she likes more normal/touristy stuff. It's highly underestimated.
Pros: Great Food, Nice Ambiance
Cons: Touristy Location

Love this place!!! So glad I found a place in the lower eastside that serves good chinese food. Sesame beef is to die for!!! The decor in the place blew my mind, you totally wouldn't expect it from the outside. Downstairs there is two dance floors with two different DJ's, both spinning good, classic music. This place was great, top to bottom. Highly recommended!!!
Pros: Food, decor, music

I'm not really crazy about Italian food, but perhaps that is because just like what happens to Mexican food or any other food in this country they don't know what they're doing. This place is amazing, Renato the owner has always been very nice, so is his daughter and the rest of the crew. the food is amazing, I would call it homemade food, although I'm not Italian, but can tell the difference. anyway, I would go back anytime. Salut Renato!!!!!
Pros: food food food.
Cons: nothing I can't think of.
