Some kind of 'wichcraft: A decadent 90s club transformed into an upscale sandwich shop. Justin Hartung
on 07-05-2007
In Short
What happens when a nightclub dies? In the case of 90s hot spot the Tunnel, it turns into a prime location for art galleries and one of Tom Collicio's upscale sandwich shops. Tucked away in a side alcove of the building, the open kitchen crafts unique 'wiches like marinated white anchovies with salsa verde, chopped chickpeas on country bread and grilled cheddar with smoked ham, pear and mustard. A few tables offer seating just outside the shop, but, alas, no one's dancing on them.
