This is the second location of Danku, their first being in Antwerp. The cuisine is Indo-Dutch, with entrees ranging from $4 to $9. Try the krokets, the mini pancakes and the açai frozen yogurt. Everything is biodegradable and compostable, so no eco-guilt here!

I was introduced to Trattoria Toscana by a dear friend when a long-time favorite restaurant had closed. Oh my goodness, we have to find a new one . . . well, this became the one! What delicious food for everyone and portions that are just right Depending on where you sit, the atmosphere is intimate to also being appropriate for groups and in the warm weather, sitting next to the large open windows and looking out is perfect. There is also a solo guitarist who plays on a weekly basis during the summer just outside of the restaurant so it creates a nice background, yet is unobtrusive. The staff is very warm and witty, never sacrificing professionalism. It is difficult to recommend a particular dish because they are each so specific and tasty but I am definitely looking forward to our next meal there. Close to various subway lines is also key. It's like coming home!
Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere, Location
Cons: None so far

Took the girl I'm dating (4th date) to San Marzano tonight. I had the Bianca and she had the Pesto Chicken Calzone (it was huge). GREAT CHOICE! Food was delicious and the people working there were very nice. I even met the owner who seems to really care about his customers. Definitely worth a trip to the LES for this place.
Pros: Reasonably Priced, Delicious Food, Friendly Service
Cons: None

We had the salad, fried calamari and rib-eye steak. I must say, the fried calamari was the best I have ever had, not the typical crusty and bumpy kind, the pieces were large and the crust was smooth, just right! The steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had., unlike some of the other "fine" steakhouses in NYC. Very tasty. The staff were very nice and accommodating.
Pros: Excellent food right down to the cappuccino

Trust me when I tell you I'm not a steak lover - I much prefer seafood - but I was talked into trying their steak. Oh my gosh! Absolutely delicious!! So good in fact, it's made me reconsider how often I'll have it (which before was maybe once a year!)

My wife and I had the pleasure of having lunch at Persephone on December 31. The food was outstanding, the surroundings warm and inviting, the service personal but not overbearing. The Kaftedes Saltsa was unforgettable. We will definitely return but the next time, for dinner. We need more places like this.
Pros: food, service, ambiance
Cons: none

I recently attended an event here after work. The place was very unique. They had 2 bars and the walls looked like they had an infinity forest, there was also a huge chandelier in the back that was very cool. The food was small plates and the sliders were great. The cocktail menu looked very good but i tend to stick to wine. Overall our event went really well. The DJ they supplied played great music too.
Pros: great food and drinks
Cons: none

In searching for a place to host a 70th birthday dinner for my father, we selected Tapas Floridita because of its ideal location and its great food. I have to add that the service was wonderful, the planning was hassle-free, the cost very reasonable and they were very accommodating to all of my requests. The flamenco show was impressive and added to the feeling that we were in a bar in Spain.
The evening was very special and I would totally host another event there. I recommend this restaurant, whether for drinks & tapas, an intimate gathering or a large group.
Pros: Service was wonderful, accommodating to a large group
Cons: A small space, but very comfortable

I had my birthday party there in the spring and was really happy with the whole evening. It's BYOB (difficult to find) and the staff was warm and friendly. The food was great (just would suggest to skip the veggie side) and the price was even better. We were a large party so I knew that it would take some time. I'm not sure if service is slow when it's a normal group. I would definitely go back, definitely bring visitors, and definitely recommend to friends.
Pros: Exxcellent food, period
Cons: Slow service
