At the age of 63 I guess I belong to the mammogram veterans.Today, I had my yearly mammogram at this place and never had it been so painful, never had I felt so humiliated, treated like an animal (well, I wish animals are treated a lot nicer!!). To Ms. Jennifer, my breasts and surely everybody elses are a piece of meat. One comand followed the other - not one nice word with it. I'm not even sure if the results are correct, for when I was told "hold your breath" I couldn't do it... West Side Radiology - absolutely YES - Just make sure Jennifer is not your technician! I don't want to think of those who have breast cancer and need to deal with her! Pros: 59th Street West Side Radiology yes Cons: Keep away from technician Jennifer!!!

I made an appointment nearly a year in advance and had them check three times that my insurance information was correct. A few weeks later, they called to inform me that my insurance didn't cover a mammogram (which was news to my insurance company). They refused to resubmit the charges to the insurance company and equally refused to give me the valid paperwork so I could pass it along. They threatened me repeatedly, siced a collection agency on me immediately and tried to ruin my credit rating. No way would I trust them to read a mammogram. Cons: awful personnel

West Side Radiology made a mistake with my insurance that took months to get cleared up. In the meantime, even though it was their mistake, I got threatening phone calls and was told that they would ruin my credit rating unless I paid up (although they also refused to send me a receipt to pass on to the insurance company). When your health insurer is appalled by the provider's behaviour then you know you're in real trouble! No way in the world would I trust these people to read a mammogram. And, although I went there for years, I ended up learning more about density, etc. in newspaper articles and TV health segments. Pros: location Cons: horrific mistakes, long waits

Once you walk in, you're 'greeted' by a receptionist who acts, looks and talks to you like she does not want to be there. Even if you smile, she doesn't even know to smile back. Then you wait. And wait. And wait. Then a tech calls you. No greetings. No eye contact. Walks you straight to the tiny closet they call a changing room. Then it's one command after another. 'Everything off... Then come inside the room.' Once you're in the room, just more commands. Do this and this and that. You try to small talk, not even a polite acknowledgment smile. It's pretty much- get in and get out- mode of operation there. And whatever exam you're having done, it feels the same way. You'll be probed around as if you were made of mechanical parts. I can't go into the gross details. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The people clearly do not want to be there and hate what they're doing. I wish I found this site before going there. Pros: none Cons: horrible place! unprofessional mechanical staff

I had a horrible experience at this location of West Side Radiology (Columbus Circle Imaging) getting a PET/CT scan. My major complaint is that the place was extremely messy and dirty. There are a few front rooms that are neat, but the PET area is extremely grungy, with stacks of paperwork, moldering newspapers, and antique medical equipment lying in piles. I particularly noticed the light switches had smears of dirt on them, which made me think that the employees were not washing their hands. My examining room had dirty towels lying on the stretcher, which was itself covered with a stained and hair-covered sheet. When I went to actually do the test they tried to cover me with a blanket that they had used on the previous patient. Pros: Convenient location, low weight Cons: Dirty, grimy, unhygienic
