I've seen Dr. Lyon for several years and really like her down-to-earth, practical, and knowledgeable manner. I also saw Dr. Martin when I had pneumonia a couple of years ago and he was excellent too.

I've been seeing Dr. Lyon for about 2 years now and I can't say enough about what a terrific doctor she is. I've made devoted patients out of my friends and family as well. In this day and age of doctors that are too busy to care Dr. Lyon takes the time to really ask questions and examine. Whenever I've been sick her office has always gotten me in the next day, and when I've left messages Dr. Lyon has always called me back herself. She's also really great about calling in prescriptions. I actually look forward to seeing her. How many people can say that about their doctors?

When I was 9 months pregnant last fall, my OB advised me to receive a flu shot. Dr. Martin was very nice and the nursing staff was great. I was in and out very quickly. HOWEVER, the billing process has been a nightmare. I was billed for a well-adult visit (which I did not receive) and have been fighting the $150 charge for over six months now. The employees at the billing company were nothing short of rude and it was a fight to actually find someone in charge there. The administrative staff at Lyon & Martin was at least friendly, but completely scattered and inefficient. I left many messages which were never returned. When I finally did speak with someone I would be promised a return call which never came. They FINALLY fixed the charge today. No apology, of course. I don't mean to sound bitter, but I still cannot believe the amount of hassle I've gone through for a simple flu shot! I absolutely would not recommend this practice.

I've never been to my primary care physician. Since I am pregnant, I had to get a flu shot from one. After calling many offices that had long waiting lists to get in, I was able to get right into Dr. Lyon's office. I was afraid of all the paperwork I'd have to fill out being a new patient, but it took just a few minutes and waited only a few more minutes to be seen. They slid me in front of some other people since I only had to get the shot which was really nice since I was on a lunch break. Dr. Lyon is friendly and personable.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lyon for about 5 years now. I must say she is probably the best doctor I've ever been to. She is a regular family physician as well as a "woman's" doctor. She seems to really care about her patients and I've recommended her to all my friends (a few who have become just as loyal as I am). You rarely ever have to wait too long and she gets you in and out quick if you need to rush back to work. The location is tough if you work lower midtown or downtown but Dr. Lyon accepts just about every insurance plan. totally recommend her if you are on the search for a good doctor.

Dr. Lyon is fantastic. She is incredibly insightful, and actually gets to know you. She doesn't scold you for things that you do (smoking, drinking, etc). That is a refreshing change. The people in her office could be a little more helpful sometimes, but dealing with the doctor and her assistants is always a pleasure. Getting an appointment early in the morning (they open at 8 AM) is the most difficult part...usually about a 2-3 week wait.
