I just came back from LA, where bubble tea is quite common, and the trip reminded me of how much I like it. In fact, I'd never had bad bubble tea until I went to Tea Spot. The tea tasted like strawberry milk with ice in it and the bubbles were weird and watery. I didn't know it was possible to make bubble tea badly, but I'd recommend that the proprietors here take a trip to some Chinatown joints and then refine their materials and/or technique. The staff was very nice, though.
Pros: Pleasant atmosphere
Cons: Bubble tea blew

What a lovely surprise! I loved this quaint little shop with its amazing selection of tea. My husband and I shared a teapot of Earl Grey and munched on an oh-so-moist piece of pumpkin nut loaf. As a bridge-and-tunnel girl, I didn't feel weird or out of place at all in this homey little Village find. This is so unlike my experience at Tea Lounge in Brooklyn - with the too-hip-for-me hipsters looking their noses down at me over a cup of chai. Tea Spot has a pleasant atmosphere and equally pleasant counter staff. The yummy baked goods all looked good, however, I think a scone would've made this 5 star experience.
Pros: Tea, baked goods, free wi-fi
Cons: Only one sugar container for the whole shop!

My friends and I love going here - there are sooooo many varieties of tea and you can have your tea any way you want it, hot, cold, iced, bubble tea, whatever. It's cozy and rarely too busy. Unfortunately I have noticed some inconsistencies (that is, you can order the same thing twice and it'll taste different each time) but it's such a unique place I can't imagine not going there!
Pros: hundreds of delicious teas, bubble tea is good
Cons: pricey, sometimes inconsistent

This is my favorite tea spot in the city. They have over 100 varieties of tea and the people behind the counter are always ready to help you pick from the giant selection. They have a deal where if you try 75 varieties of tea in a year, you get a $25 gift card. They have free wifi and the most amazing muffins from Blue Sky Bakery! they are the best muffins in the world! I have never been dissappointed by a tea I have tried and i have tried many! I always feel at home here, I go at least twice a week for the best tea and muffins in the city.
Pros: Best tea andd muffins
Cons: not a huge selection of non-dessert food
