I think, but am not 100% certain, that she has Red Door spas in major cities across the country. I think a half-day package is only about $200 dollars, which for the quality of treatment you are getting, is very good. We have two in New York and they are very reputable for being fabulous and relaxing. Your best bet is probably to look for one in the Seattle area. She'll love it, I'm sure.

i love their papaya facial scrubs, which is a must have for all season long. Also, their haircare products are a must have. After using their hair products for the first time i bought a extra set to put in my hair salon for my personal use. The olive hair mask i used it every time i go to the hair salon. The serum and straightening creme makes your hair feels light unlike other product does and also keeps your hair unfrizzed.
Creme de Corps must have for the winter and my boyfriend love it too, heals his dry skin. But for the summer time i always use their grapefruit body lotion because the light scent and light texture.
Staffs are very polite and nice. they willing to give you tons of samples but usually they give you like 3-4 samples but i was at george town in DC there's a lady who gave me like 12 samples of the cleansers for combination skin. She was so grateful.
My favorite gift to give my friends and family now!
I am NYC, but the kiehl's store is like 30 mins from where i live so, whenever i go up to philadelphia to visit my boyfriend's family, they will see me with a kiehl's bag full of gifts for them.
One more thing i like about kiehl's stores is that when you told them that its a gift, they packed it up your stuffs and put extra samples in the gift bag or gift box for you. plus on top of that you also get your samples too.
Wonderful! i love them.

I have a love-hate relationship with Ricky's. While I consider this THE source for haircare products, I also recognize the mark-up on some of the very well-known brands.
But if you want to get beauty groove on, this is great start. In addition to the abundance of hair products, appliances, and accessories, they also carry a good number of skin care lines and bath products. The house line of make-up and application tools are also widely popular with professional make-up artists and club-goers, who compare them to MAC make-up. This THE local source for beauty, New York-style.

Great store. Reasonably priced, high quality, convenient, trusted, and easy-to-find. Five stars.

Sephora can be overwhelming at first but its really a great place to get all your beauty buys. They carry the latest beauty trends featured in Marie Claire or Cosmo, always fully stocked with all colors and actually have salespeople who know a thing or two about skincare.
The salespeople also are not pushy, unlike department cosmetic counters who jump at the first sight of you sniffing a bottle. The fragrance selection is immense and I believe it takes up an entire wall. The makeup brushes were surprisingly high quality ( the sephora brand brushes) and comparable to my Trish McEvoy brushes. My fave section is the skin care section where the sales people actually evaluate your skin and suggest products that may help any problems you are having and will offer you samples.
Also I have to add, Sephora has monthly events where you can reserve a spot to get a free facial or meet the makers of the products and save money during the event by being reimbursed for the registration fee towards product purchases. Most events are free but registration fees are for the more popular products such as Dr. Brandt.
Now I try before I buy and I don't bother with any other cosmetic stores.

I don't know if it's the lighting or the music or the colors, but something about Sephora makes it very difficult to go in without buying something. It's aisels and aisels of colorful and odoriferous lovely things and the people will help you find whatever you need. The prices are not cheap, but you'll always find when you're looking for and it's so much fun to look around.

More
Aedes is a luxury perfume and home fragrance mecca. It carries lines that are of enormous quality but are smaller and more artisinal than department store brands. Aedes' staff is immensely well-versed in the lines and will skillfully guide you whether you need a gift or are looking to pamper yourself. From candles to home fragrance, bath salts to scent, Aedes has something for everyone. The store has a very liberal sample program and the staff will often offer several samples of items that they believe will suit you. And the gift wrapping is unique -- a gorgeous box, spools of double-faced satin ribbon and fresh flowers. Aedes will also do mail or web orders.

Right next to the ESPRIT in the seaport mall, this Bath and Body Works is a neat little shop with a great selection of soaps, lotions, fragrance products, cosmetics, and BEES WAX lip gloss (my favorite lip product in the universe, leaves you feeling minty and fresh). I love coming here because it feels like I'm walking into a field of daisies.

I stopped a woman in yoga class to ask her where she got her great cut...terrific long layers with lots of movement that really complemented her face. She said Hoshi Coupe on 108 & B'way and that all of the stylists there are good. I just got back and am really impressed with the cut. Truly spare decor with basic tiled floor and cement walls, with large round mirrors at each of the no more than 3 or 4 stylist stations. Having been a patron of Deva Chan in Soho where each stylist has a personal assistant and beverages are doled out in champagne flutes, I was worried about what the quality of the cut would be given the quality of this studio, but had to write this review since I was so happily surprised by the end result.
This is one of 3 Japanese-based salons in NYC and the woman who cut my hair spoke limited English but I told her that I wanted long layers and some of the flatness removed from my crown and she translated that into a totally flattering style with no more direction needed from me. Very quick and adept with the scissors, no annoying small talk, a great blow-dry, and then significant time and attention to the finishing touches with 15 minutes more of dry-cutting and styling at the end to define the shape. Really impressive, I'm going back, especially since it cost only $62.
Pros: + Great cut, great prices
Cons: - no ambiance
