This is as basic a Chinese takeout place as there is. The only thing missing is the bullet proof glass. It's from a different pre-gentrified era of Hudson Heights. You get a good deal on food since they give you a lot for cheap. The menu has "MSG" with an X through it, but personally, I don't believe the X; though I have no proof except for that slightly queasy feeling. The people seem nice enough & it's been a part of the neighborhood for a long time. For that reason, and since there doesn't seem to be any other Chinese restaurant very close by, I'd hate to see it go, even though it's, in truth, not very good.
