Packed into a small store front is Economy Candy. Inside, there isn't a whole lot of room to move around because of all the shelves filled with chocolate and other candy. They sell packaged candy, chocolate bars (foreign and domestic), bulk candy, and other sweets. Don't talk a small child in here or you won't get out without a bag full of sugar.

Another successful candy shop located in the Lower East Side. Best known for its variety of chocolate, candies, and nuts. It's like a chocolate factory in here. The store even sells European Chocolate Bars and hand dipped chocolate! I paid about $1.50 which is a bargain to get a taste of Europe. For those with the not so sweet tooth they even makes sugar free items.
In addition they even sell old time favorites button dots, pez, and gummies. They even sell Harry Potter Jelly Beans!

I first found this candy store when my dad was having trouble finding a certain kind of nut that his dad used to eat. We were wandering the Lower East Side and my dad asked someone if they knew where he could find it - the immediate response: Economy Candy.
Economy Candy gives the impression of an old time, packed to the brim candy store, overflowing with candy - from marzipan, to old time candy buttons, to all day lollipops, to jelly creations that boggle the mind - nuts, by-the-pound and prepackaged chocolates, and even gourmet oils. In keeping with the times, they also offer a huge variety of sugar-free candies for the diabetics and Atkins dieters in your life.
You can order from the store on-line (or just see what you're into before you visit) at economycandy.com, but I highly suggest you stop in and experience the sugar madness for yourself.
