I just got off the phone with owner Mike Jacobs of Jam Paper. I rush ordered 125 envelopes for my wedding. Jam Paper took three days to process the envelopes. I called to tell the company that I was disappointed, and I had expected the order to be processed in one day (for my extra $20 in shipping). The man I spoke to was rude, and I didn't believe him when he said that he would take the feedback to his supervisor (I asked him to put information on the website that says that orders may take 2-3 days to process). I called back to actually speak to a supervisor, since I didn't believe he would. The same guy picked up, I asked to speak to his supervisor, and he said that he was the owner, Mike Jacobs. He then told me to get a life, that he always deals with freak-out brides. I told him he was an arrogant New Yorker, and that was that. THEN, he called my cell phone and said "I'm just returning the favor," and hung up. What an invasion of my privacy and that is SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I am returning my order as a matter of principal.
His quote: "I don't care about small orders like you."
Update: Mike canceled my order and refunded me in full, including shipping. At least he did the right thing in the end.

I find Jam Paper practical as opposed to a location to indulge my fetish for the old fashioned (and that includes proper stationary and good pens). Jam Paper is great if you need to get bright colored papers for fliers or attention grabbing envelopes and paper for marketing purposes. They also sell envelopes for headshots with clear windows, which is great for actors. If you want fancy stationary though, this is not the place.

If you need to get any type of paper be sure to stop here first. They offer a wide selection of paper and envelopes in different colors, material, sizes and texture. They usually have sales from time to time, but are generally inexpensive to begin with. They also sell folders, portfolios, and clear plastic sleeves to hold and protect all of your projects.

JAM on 3rd Ave between 14th and 15th is simply the largest, most organized packing store i have ever been in. And when they didnt have enough bags for me ( i needed 350 that day), they had it delivered from New Jersey in just a couple of hours. No one in the city or on the web has the quantities they have in stock. For us last minute shoppers, there is simply no where else. Plus, they always have cute items you didnt even know you needed!!

First off it's a pretty big store. Second they have envelopes in every color of the rainbow. Third they have every other stationary type whatever you need in every color of the rainbow. Fairly inexpensive. They also make cheap business cards if you don't want to wait around for vistaprint. Great place to get supplies if you're tired of brown envelopes.
