East Village Cheese does not look like much from the outside. But once you step inside, you are in cheese heaven. There is a cheese deli, where the staff are ready to cut you a hunk of any type of cheese in stock---which is any imaginable! They also have a refrigerated case with butter, Greek yogurt, and cheese specials. For a long time, they had Boursin for $1.75! In the grocery stores, it is $5.99! They also have an olive bar and a small grocery with many types of jams and crackers, as well as fresh breads and rolls. The prices are so cheap, you think it is 1972 when you get your final bill. All the cheeses are fresh and top quality.
