Some places talk gourmet, act gourmet, look gourmet...but are they really gourmet? This place IS gourmet, even though it might not look like it at first glance. This is a simple store with no semblance of decor and a sometimes surly staff who are extremely knowledgeable. But understand that the food here is what matters, nothing else. It is definitely on a smaller scale compared to other food shops, but the produce, cheeses, and pastas here are unbelievable. Cuts of cured Italian meats will probably never make it to your fridge, as you'll be sneaking a slice here and a slice there, until it's gone by the time you get home.
