I used to love this store. The sharper image was the top rated, most advanced technologic related store. It is not that now they have gone downhill, but the industry in general has come uphill. Many things that are luxuries and newly designed electronics are now found on the shelves of regular stores. This has hurt the sharper image because now they are not really all that special as compared to, for example, regular department stores, or even discount stores. I'm disappointed.

Looks like metal but is actually cheap silver painted plastic. Take a look and you will see most of Sharper Image items are made that way. I bought the slim line stereo to discover that in actuality it looked cheap and didn't have the sound quality it claimed to. Its a nice store to walk around and touch and play with the gadgets but the prices are a bit steep for the quality they offer. Innovative ideas but they should really invest more in material. The only thing I can rave about are the ionic air filters which do work as promised and are made quite sturdy. I have 3 of them in my house and I do see and sense a difference that they make.

The Sharper Image was one of the first, if not the first place to carry a flashlight that never needs batteries - it derives its power when you shake it.
