I used to hate shopping at this store - the merchandising was not very well done and the sales staff and the owner? manager? was predatory and made you feel uncomfortable.
Since their expansion and ensuing renovations, however, the shop has become a truly pleasant experience. The stock is well displayed and easy to look through, while the store is spacious and provides a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. It looks like the sales staff also had some customer service training, as purchasing the outfit for my engagement party was a wonderful experience. The associate who helped me - a guy with a funky style and warm demeanor - was honest and discriminating to where the end result was that I looked and felt my best.
The stock is also a great mix of independent and more established designers, which makes it fun to mix and match for a really unique look. But, as is the case with most UES boutiques, I wish I had more funds to supplement my shopping jones.

Big Drop has two locations, one on the Upper East Side and the other in SoHo. The clothes are trendy and feature good labels but you will go broke filling your wardrobe with clothes from this store.
