Printed Matter has over 15,000 titles by artists, an amazing selection, most of which are NOT available on Amazon. The selection of contemporary zines is the best in the city, and they have a certain amount of other stuff by artists too: skateboards by Ari Marcopoulos, Liam Gillick and Mark Gonzales are my faves.

Printed Matter is a good place to go for books and magazines on artists and art matter from different time periods. If you stop by hoping to find the newest Harry Potter book or He's just not that into you you're fresh out of luck. They only carry art books and magazines. Nothing else. Good place to do research if you are an art major.

Printed Matter has over 15,000 titles by artists, an amazing selection, most of which are NOT available on Amazon. The selection of contemporary zines is the best in the city, and they have a certain amount of other stuff by artists too: skateboards by Ari Marcopoulos, Liam Gillick and Mark Gonzales are my faves.

Printed Matter is a good place to go for books and magazines on artists and art matter from different time periods. If you stop by hoping to find the newest Harry Potter book or He's just not that into you you're fresh out of luck. They only carry art books and magazines. Nothing else. Good place to do research if you are an art major.
