Sorry that I didnt write sooner!!! I was in there about a week ago and I had the BEST HAIRCUT EVER from Nathalie!!!!! I love the cut that she did, it was so updated and nice, she is so talented. Not only is she the best stylist but she is hot too!! The salon is GREAT, VERY CLEAN!!! Also I loved the shampoo and head massage. Nathalie is so funny and makes you feel right at home!!!!Cant wait to go again!!! Im going to recommend my friends to see Nathalie! GREAT STYLIST. Keep up the good work!!!!Salon Beach you hired GREAT PEOPLE!!!! Pros: Trendy, Fun, and Very Professional Cons: None!

I went to the Beach several times for my hair and nails. Natasha is highly recommended, impeccable work! My friend and I used to see Russ for highlights and was told he packed up and left for another salon (wouldn't tell me where). I saw another stylist but was very unhappy with the way my highlights came out, they were way too red orange. Management acted somewhat indifferently to my problem. The prices seemed higher than I remembered. The cut was good, but it seems like a lot of the talent has left suddenly. Pros: clean, no wait Cons: pricy, average

I went to the Beach Spa for many years & was very happy- however, they are now under new management and most of the stylists that made the place have been fired. I have not liked any cut I've gotten since (boy, do I wish I could find Victor!!) The massages, however, are still excellent. Dante is wonderful.

I moved to NY from SF a year ago and was terrified of breaking in a new hair dresser. I decided to try The Beach, on a friends recommendation. When I walked in for my appointment I was greeted by a freindly receptionist. I barely sat down when I was greeted by my stylist who spent 10 minutes chatting with me about what I was looking for. By the end of our chat, we decided to forego my hi-lites, for a new process she had been developing for a while. By the time we were done I left with the best color I had ever had, and a cut to match. All of the stylists that I saw were freindly and professional, but I have to reccomend Jen Slider. She did a great job on my hair and sent me home with some of the best products I've ever used. Pros: Convienient Location, Great service

I've lived in the village for ten years and had never noticed the beach salon spa until recently when I walked in thinking it was new to the neighborhood and came to find that the business had been there for 15 years! I had an amazing Color and cut by Jesse, a Master Stylist. Jesse told me that the beach was under new management and that was the reason I hadn't seen it before. If this is the new look of the beach and with the service I got, I would definately say YES! Pros: Friendly, Comfortable, Reasonably Priced Cons: parking

I came here with one of my clients and they liked it. From the other places I've been to, this place is more individualized because the place is smaller than most salons. They give an excellent shiatsu massage, that I'd definitely recommend. Prices were a bit expensive, but definitely worth it.

I’m hesitant about writing this review because I’m not the right person to ask. I used to go here for waxing. I was never happy with the service. I always felt uncomfortable in the downstairs rooms. But I’ve never tried any of the other services, and they’re supposed to be quite good for hair. Also, frankly, I think I was always the only girl in there (it is Christopher Street, for pete's sake). So try it if you're a guy and see what other people have to say.

it took many tries at other salons before i finally found jose. i have curly hair, which is apparantly hard to cut and more expensive (go figure). i like jose as he takes the time to chat and really listen to what i want -- but also suggests great things to try. i always get compliments on my hair. the beach has also expanded its day spa offerings if you want to get massages, facials, etc -- and the prices are very reasonable for the level of service you get.

A veteran of Van Michael Salon in Miami, I scheduled my first NYC salon experience at "The Beach" based on the fact it was Aveda affiliated & advertisments in popular magzines. I arrived 20 min early & was greeted to a salon in the midst of construction. The salon was extremely small & the hair cutting stations were 'squished' up front. I waited over 45 min, to get my hair cut, as they double booked my appointment. The stylist did spend a considerable amount of time with my highlights, but I wasn't extremely pleased with the color & my haircut was rushed. This was one of my most expensive NYC salon ventures so far, (appx $350 in total for cut & highlights) & to be honest, it wasn't worth it!! My next appointment will be somewhere top rated; its not worth spending this much money for bottom line crap results. Pros: Village Location, Aveda affiliated Cons: Very Small, Unorganized, Shabby
