I have lived in NY for the past 12 years and cant believe I just found this place! The bartender suggested one of his latest creation "the CIBAR MOJITO" cant remember all of the ingredients,basil and spiced rum is the best I can do...but Im going back to find out! 2 fireplaces, cozy couches and the cutest garden,and get this..a polite staff. The bartender made me feel so comfortable while I was waiting for my lame 40 min late first date, even though he was very busy..nice touch. Great music too! Pros: really nice staff,excellent drinks, has garden too! Cons: hard to find

My friend had a similar poor experience with a private party,. However, private parties not withstanding,I used to enjoy going to this place due to its chill ambience and clientele. The drinks are still good, but I have gone a few times in the last couple months, and the frat-element to the scene seems to be on the rise, and the atmosphere is more obnoxious than it is chill.

I recently planned a birthday get together at Cibar and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Lenny, the manager, was very helpful and efficient both behind the bar and in greeting all my guests, making them feel welcome. The drinks are sooo good (yummy lemonade martini) and the food is surprisingly really delicious... Everyone that attended said they loved the ambiance, the laidback lounge vibe, and smoking garden... and I have to agree, which is why I chose to have my party there! If you feel like getting away from the throngs of NYC, I'd have to say this is the perfect place. Pros: Friendly staff, great ambiance
