If you go to New York City and find yourself in the East Village, stop in to McSorleys. It's the oldest Irish pub in New York. Go in and order either the light or dark ale and enjoy the scenery and conversation. It's a great place to go before getting on the subway for a Yankees game. When I went a couple years ago, a man and his dog were having a beer at the bar--I swear to God!

While this place is very expensive, if you can get seated in the Enoteca area (near the bar) and it's restaurant week or they are offering the $35 prix fixe, head there. For $35 you get an appetizer, a pasta course, main course, and dessert, all up to the normal high standards of the restaurant. It's one of the best bargains I've found in NY.
Pros: Great value for the prix fixe
Cons: Wine is expensive

I haven't been on city search in a while but I thought i would pay compliments where they were due and thank red sky and the staff for hosting an amazing holiday party for my company.
Everything was perfect and we had a blast, the food selections were the right amount and everyone was loving the crunchy chicken fingers and sliders!! The Dj really got things going and everyone in the accounting department was drinking cosmos and on the dance floor ripping it up! The bartenders could not have been nicer to us and where so fast and attentive! Thank you again Red Sky everyone is still talking about what a great party it was and how it was such an awesome way to RING in the holiday season!!

Went last night for dinner and I love this place! The food was delcicious and the atmosphere is so fun! And the prices are very reasonable. But the bathrooms take the cake! I thought the service was great as well. I will definitely be back.

This place is a hot spot. I walked in on a Friday night with no reservations, and got a table in 5 minutes. The place was packed with an energetic crowd that made my experience here 10 times better. To some it up the sake was great, the food was to die for, and the service unbelievable. I wish I could have taken home the chef so i wouldn't have to cook anymore. That's how good the food was.
Recommendation- Sake Black Cod, and Sea Bass
Pros: Food, and Celeb's
Cons: You eventually have to leave

I don't go out often but had a great time at Pink Elephant. For once a club that didn't try to rip me off. Went at 11.30 on a Sat night when it opened. Joked around with the bouncer, seemed like a nice guy. $20 cover and $12 drinks is actually pretty reasonable. No stupid "recovery charge" plus 20% tip added to the bar tab like they did at Tenjune. The party filled-up by 12.30 and rocked through the small hours, but never so crowded that you couldn't get around.
To the reviewer below, of course it's small. That's the point. If it were large they'd have to let in lots of people there that you don't want.

Best dinner I have had in NYC, the folks who own this place really know how to do Mexican the right way! We stopped in on a Friday night and we were treated to one of the best dinner's I have ever had.... the drinks are great as well.... try LA PALAPA and trust me you wont go wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
