I arranged a bachelor party dinner for ten and couldn't have been more pleased. From the manager who booked the party, to the staff that served us, 'inoteca was on point. We went for the Classic Party Menu for a mere $39 - this is a family style dinner, and sometimes that means the portions can be meager. Not in this case. We actually had food leftover, and we're talking about 10 hungry male adults. A big shout out to our waitress who realized she'd given us the wrong bill, which we paid, and came running out of the restaurant to reimburse us the $160 we got overcharged. The wine was great, the ambiance in the wine cellar where we ate was festive, they accommodated 3 guests with serious food allergies, and generally just took care of us. Thanks 'inoteca.
Pros: Food, service, price
Cons: None at this point

I have been here 5 times over the last few months and seen some of the best shows I've seen in awhile. (Particularly Sebastien Tellier) The sound is great, the staff is friendly, and they have really great taste in music.
I was also here for a friend's birthday in the cool bar next door and they treated us great (she got a free bottle for her friends to enjoy.)
I highly recommend this spot. Nice yo have great live music back in the Village
Pros: great music, great drinks
Cons: crowded

I host a trivia night pub quiz at 1020 every Tuesday night so I am at the 1020 a lot. It's a great bar, with booths so you can sit with your friends and large tables in the front and back of the joint if you are with a large group. The beer is dirt cheap for NYC.
On the weekends it is full of college kids making it crowded and impossible to play darts. There is a also a beaten up old pool table that takes quarters to play. The bartenders are chill and work hard to serve people quickly.
Here is info on the Trivia Night.
Every Tuesday at 8pm
Live hosted trivia game with a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Come in for pub quizzes, prizes, and friendly people! Best of all it's FREE!
Win bar tabs! and Junk Food!!!
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and third place teams. Prizes for funniest team names and funniest wrong answers.
Pros: cheap drinks trivia night
Cons: crowded on weekends

Went with a girlfriend last Thursday and there was no line, no cover. Drinks were on the pricy side but strong. Music was mostly trance with very little variation but it's fine if you're buzzed and in the mood to dance. Agree with the other reviewers in that this is NOT the usual LES crowd so if you're looking for a laid-back vibe this is not the place for you. But if you want a bit of glamor (ala Meatpacking, etc.) then this is the place for you. Enjoy!
Pros: Good Looking Crowd, No Cover, No Line, Dancing
Cons: Pricy Drinks, Monotonous Music

Get your drink on at this Rock Dive bar near Union Square. The beers are cheap, the Rockl music is pumping and the people are just there to catch a cold beer. Seating is limited with well-worn seats. Bathroom could be a ton cleaner. But, for $5 import pints and $4 bottles. I kinda can't be beat.

My friends and I come here to watch football religiously and it's our drinking spot after our team plays every saturday.
The food is excellent. Easy cheap sliders for $1 each, phillys and a variety of fries or fried ravioli. Hits the spot.
Any of their draft beer is $3 a 12 ounce glass. So if you like a pricier beer like stella order 2 and do the math. Great deal.
I have been here a million times and have yet to have bad service like some reviewers are complaining about. Me thinks people are more concerned with being critics than just having a real good time. Judge for yourself. Ill be the guy playing beer pong.

Hands down the best bar I've ever been to. The beer selection is unlike any other you'll find in NYC, the bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly and they play amazing music all the time. You'd never know it's there unless you know it's there which keeps it filled but never packed which is nice. The atmosphere is very relaxing great place to go with friends and talk. If you enjoy good beer it's a must.
Pros: Beer Selection, Music, Atmosphere
