I went to check this place out last night and it was really nice. Then I went to get a daiquiri and one bar was $12. Then the next bar was $14! When at the Seaport Side they were $5! To charge that much is rude and exploiting people who are trying to have a good time. Not cool.
Pros: beautiful view and nice sand
Cons: very expensive

Take a trip to South Street Seaport, you'll love the historic feel of the cobblestone roads and the view of the Hudson River. The mall features clothing stores such as Victoria's Secret, Structure, Express, and others of the sort, but it also has special stores, like the Christmas store, the purple store, and other stores with seasonal leases. Outside the actual mall are more stores, like the Yankees gear store, Coach, J.Crew, Gap, and Abercrombie & Fitch. I love walking around the shops in and around South Street Seaport during the day, but I especially love seaport at night. There are many different restaurants/bars to try inside the mall, and an after-dinner stroll along the pier is a perfect end to a perfect date.

This building/mall offers many stores and places to eat at the Seaport on the water.
These are big name stores, pricy but fun to wander the floors and windowshop. You can pick up earings at Clairs or Coach bags or high end gagets at The Sharper Image.
Grab some ice cream or stop for lunch on the water. This is a great place to wander and enjoy the harbor views through the windows or shopping.
Don't forget to stop by the Museum when you are done.

This mall is in a great location, right on Pier 17. Lots of great attractions nearby too, the Intrepid Museum is just right next door, the fish market is nearby, chinatown is a short walk up north, and don't forget Wall St. is right around the corner. There are lots of nice small shops inside. Clothing, jewelry, and art. There's a neat Broadway Beat shop in here too, that sells theater merchandise. There are also eateries inside in case you're tired of all the walking.
