my mom recently got me a chestnut cake from tai pan for my birthday and it was simply delicious. Unlike some of the other bakeries, it did not have a lot of cream on it.

Tai Pan Bakery has delicious pastries, chinese breads and wonderful buns. They also make regular hot food such as noodles, rice and teas so you can sit down and have lunch. However it tends to get very crowded so it may be wiser to take your food to go. The prices are okay but Tai Pan is one of the better bakeries and recent luncheonettes in Chinatown

Tai Pan sells a large variety of cakes pastries and buns. Their prices are slightly higher than average however their products tastes much better than their competitors. I have ordered birthday cakes here before and I strongly recommend the Mango Fresh Fruit Cake. It is very delicious and costs $8 per lb. A cake that can serve 8 guests costed me around $16.

this is a chinese bakery that sells everything. they have the usual fare of pastries and breads, which are very good. Though i must say that their selection of pastries look and taste better than most of those found in other chinese bakeries. they also sell hot food, which seems to be a trend that other bakeries in chinatown are starting to go into. the prices aren't bad, though i must say that you have to chose wisely. the fried rice noodles are very good, others not so good. And, the prices are not bad at all. one could get a very good lunch for around five dollars. though i must complain that their seating is not adequate. it gets very busy at times, and it's definitely not a place to go to relax.
