I'm a Brit so what do i know about Bagels. I just walk past this place on the way to get my Sunday Times from a news agent across the street. This place looked busy and now I know why. I just bought some bagels to take home with me and they are definitely the best I've had. Normally I'd toast but no ned, they were still warm and absolutely fresh. Next Sunday I'm gonna eat in and try the smoked fish which looks really good.

I had a sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese and my boyfriend had a raisin bagel. We both loved our on-the-go lunch. They don't need to be toasted because they were nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Much, much better than H&H Bagels.

that's how good the bagels are. I dont' know where they don't sell bagels, so these have to be good for me to bring someone that is from out of town here. I didn't give them five stars because sometimes the service is a bit brusque. However, I think that is because their bagels are so good that if folks are going out of town, this is one of their stops on the way to the airport. I would have a big head, too...

Want to start your day with a great bagel. Try Tal Bagel located on 86th street on the East side. On return from a long night out I stopped by. They have great bagel specially in the morning since they are right out of the oven. The bagels here are perfect soft and tender on the inside an slightly crusty on the outside great for sandwiches. There chicken soup actually has chicken in it and the tuna is mouth-watering. These place is not fancy but with one the most organized, excellent and friendly service with is quick to go. The staff seems highly organized and fast worker with reasonable prices. Surprise to find out they do not make eggs and don't toast bagel I guess cause they are always serving fresh. Great bagel place. Pros: Fast & friendly staff, Excellent Bagels, Great Sandiwches Cons: No Eggs
