Golden Carriage Bakery, located in Chinatown, has very quick service, delicious baked goods and prices that won't dent your wallet. Besides the usual buns, cookies and cakes Golden Carriage also makes sandwiches and drinks with strange ingredients such as lychee. One of my favorite snacks is the pork buns.
Don't eat your goods inside though. The bakery is a dark and dusty.

Golden Carriage sells delicious cakes for 60 to 75 cents a slice. They also sell many types of bread (hot dogs, bread with corn and mayonnaise, bread with egg and ham, etc.) that cost less than a dollar each. In addition, they sell coffee and many cold drinks (cold milk tea, fruit drinks, each cup around $1.50). This is one of my favorite breakfast places when I want a break from bacons and eggs or donuts; very inexpensive, very good service.

I love coming to this bakery. Service is really terrible and you really need to be able to speak Chinese to actually get any service. The buns are great and they are so much better when they are fresh out the ovens. The pastry selection is pretty awesome as well. I know that they are bad for me, but oh so yummy. They do have an odd selection of sandwiches, filled with meats, such as spam and hot dogs. Prices are really low, so you can just splurge and not feel too bad about it.
