Takes the cake :-) 5/11/2006

This is truly one of the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. A wide variety of flavors, they are almost better than homemade when I can be bothered. When I lived on the UES, I would treat my Brooklyn co-workers to a Crumbs cupcake on their birthdays, (the ones I liked anyway) and they would always rave and not share. When I moved to Brooklyn, many of them were very upset. Now when I visit, I visit Crumbs but I don't share. more

China & Cupcakes 3/12/2006

You have to love a place that serves tea in china & cupcakes on china plates. To me, it shows that Crumbs is serious about their product and that cupcakes of this caliber deserve some respect. I have not ventured beyond the classics here, but have enjoyed a good sized cupcake (for a healthy chunk of change, but it is a worthy splurge) with a piping hot beverage. I will stop in again. more

this is no ordinary cupcake place 2/23/2006

they must have a line to Oompa Loompa land in here because they don't just do yellow and chocolate cake here. There are actually 20 or so flavors to choose from, so that is great in and of itself. But they are actually GOOD!. And this is not a dry cupcake under a ton of frosting that will give you stomachache. It's moist cake with sweet (but not overly so) icing. And the best thing was that the "basic" cupcake was delicious on it's own...take the kids (or the hubby )when they are good. more
